MISTRESS OF HIS HEART - I

"Rudra, Gauri would reach tomorrow evening. You will go pick her up, won't you??" Jhanvi asked her younger son to which he eaerly nodded.

Rudra had talked to Gauri through phone many a times in the past one year and he liked her. She would be a perfect partner in crime for him and now that she is coming over they could together irritate the hell out of his family members, especially his stuck up older brother Omkara Singh Oberoi

Omkara ignored the conversation going on at the breakfast table. He has a forbidding look on his face always. People think that he is arrogant and stuck up. He ignores woman totally. Some people even think he is a gay.

Well!! He definitely is not a gay. He simply believes in being a one woman man.

And he has been waiting for that particular woman all his life.

He belongs to the aristocratic Oberoi family and his ancestors could be counted back to a couple of hundred years.

If the country was still under royal ruling, Omkara would have been the present Yuvrana ,his father being the Rana

And to his misery his family believes he is the Re incarnation of a powerful ruler who ruled hundred years ago.

Some artists during the time had made a portrait of the then Rana and Omkara had inherited those looks.

But what made the comparisons more strong is the fact of their birth time

The planets in our solar system never line up in one perfectly straight line like they show in the movies. If you look at a two-dimensional plot of the planets and their orbits on a piece of paper you may be lead to believe that all the planets will circle around to the same line eventually.

In reality, the planets do not all orbit perfectly in the same plane. Instead, they swing about on different orbits in three dimensional space. For this reason, they will never be perfectly aligned.

And it is believed that, the perfect alignment has happened only twice, one being hundred years ago when Rana Raghupathi Datta Singh Oberoi was born and the second time being twenty nine years ago when Omkara Singh Oberoi was born

It would have been a pride for Omkara if Rana Raghupathi was only famous for his war skills.

But he was also famous for his exploits among woman. The man had more number of wives and mistresses that one could imagine and his great grandmother who had been alive when he was born had made a comment on how Omkara is going to grow into a man like Rana Raghupathi. And his physical similarities to the said man once he grew up just sealed his fate

And Omkara had made the decision that there would be only one woman in his life. And he had worked pretty hard to keep his aloof image to keep woman away.

"Mom. I going out with Chubby. Will come only tomorrow morning. Bye O" Rudra said and ran out of the house without giving his mother or brother a chance to rebuke him

"Om. Your papa and me are going to Lonavla. We will also be returning only tomorrow. And about the Gauri I mentioned. She will be staying over for a while and she is coming here for you.. -" she gets cut off as Tej comes in a hurry

"Jhanvi. It's getting late" Tej said

"Yeah. I'm coming " Jhanvi said

"Mom. What do you mean by for me?? " Omkara asked

"I don't have time now Om. You know your dad. I will talk to you tomorrow once I come back." With that Jhanvi walked out leaving a confused Omkara

That Evening
