I was just bouncing down the stairs to go get myself something to eat when I heard Hayley speaking to someone at the door.

"Who the hell are you?" Hayley questions.

"Oh, you must be the maid. My bags are in the car – get them, will you?" I hear Rebekah answer.

"Bekah!" I squeal, running down the last few steps and into her arms.

"Ivy! Ugh I've missed you. But you must remember no running on the stairs, you could fall and hurt the baby." Rebekah scolds like a mother hen.

"Promise." I smile letting her out of the hug.

"Your maid has no manners by the way." Rebekah side eyes Hayley.

"Hello. Not the maid." Hayley scoffs.

"Bekah, this is my sister Hayley." I giggle.

"Oh Right. I was expecting to see some kind of supernatural, miracle baby bump on you both. Guess you're not showing yet." Rebekah says.

"No. And thank god for for that, I can still wear my cute clothes for now." I chuckle.

"Nonsense, then we get to go shopping for a whole new wardrobe!" Rebekah squeals.

"That'd be fun, right Hayley?" I ask, wanting her to feel included.

"Actually it's more of a you and me kinda thing I think Ivy." Rebekah cuts in with a slight tinge of jealousy in her tone.

"You have your brother's manners." Hayley mumbles.

"And his temper, too, so watch it. Where's Elijah?" Rebekah asks.

"Beats me. He's long gone." Hayley answers.

I furrow my eyebrows in confusion. I just saw him last night.

"What do you mean, "long gone"?" I question.

"Well, one minute he was here making epic promises about protecting me in this predicament that some crazy witches got me into– he was all poetic about how we're family – and then Klaus told me he bailed this morning. Guess that's what I get for trusting a vampire." Hayley answers.

"Eli wouldn't do that. If he makes a promise he keeps it." I say, growing more concerned by the second.

"Which means Niklaus has done something dastardly and Klaus-like. Klaus! Get out here and tell me what you've done with our brother, you narcissistic, back-stabbing wanker!" Rebekah calls out into the house.

"Enough with all the shouting. Little sister, I should have known. I assume the six dead vampires were your doing?" Nik says as he enters the room.

"They were very rude. Trying to victimize a poor, innocent girl just trying to find her way to the Quarter. So sorry, were they friends of yours? Oh, that's right, you don't have any friends." Rebekah replies.
