The night air blows through my hair, my long hair flowing behind me as I roam the streets of California.

The warm weather pairing nicely with the soft waves of the sea.

I play with the hem of my floral dress, my hand softly gliding over the tears.

My damp cheeks are cold, mascara dripping down as tears begin to stop.

"It was a mistake to leave Iowa" I curse myself, slowly standing up and walking to the bus stop.

I see a small single decker bus coming towards me.

'Des Moines'

'I'm going home' I think to myself.

The bus stops, the doors opening infront of me.

"You look rough" The older man looks me up and down.

"Tell me 'bout it" I sigh, handing him my change and sitting down.

I watch as the bus peels away, pulling out my pink heart bag that had a few stains on it.

I pull out a post card I had received.

Dear Viv
If your reading this, I miss you, we all do, but me mostly, Des Moines is boring without you.
If you ever come back, I live in those old apartments near Oakland street.
From Joey <3

I begin my journey through the streets, the sun beginning to rise.

I stand staring at the apartment building.

'God he'll hate me' I swear to myself.

I hear a door open as I begin to walk away.

"Vivienne?" I hear an angelic voice ask.

"Joey" I smile at him meekly.

Watching him approach me with open arms.

"C'mere" He chuckles, his soft tone making tears rush to my eyes.

"I'm sorry!" My words are muffled by his leather jacket.

Our contrasting looks making people stare.

Just like they did in highschool.

"Why does she even hangout with them" I hear a voice whisper.

Joey, Paul, Shawn, and I laughing like idiots.

"Don't worry, Pinkie-Pie" I cringe at his old nickname for me.

"I'm more worried about you, Tell me what's happened" Joey asks as begins walking me somewhere I've yet to see.

"Well I ran away with-"

"With that older man, Yeah, Mr Garcia ?" He asks rhetorically, rolling his eyes at the silly decisión sadly.

I hum in agreement.

"We went to D.C, but we fell out and he told me to go, so I ran away with a guy called Scott but him and I-"

I trail off.

He'll think I'm the most stupid person.

"Never mind, but I missed you" I smile softly at him.

"I missed you too pinkie-pie" He rubs my shoulder comfortingly.

I feel electric shocks.

To be truthful I've always had a small crush on him.

Who couldn't, He's the most gorgeous man I've ever seen, and that was when we were teenagers.

We're 25 years old and he's still as gorgeous as ever.

Long black hair, with red stripes, and those stunning eyes.

"You ok pinkie-pie?" He asks softly, careful not to disturb me.

'He must just accept Im not ready to tell him, god He's incredible'
