I laid down on my back in bed just staring at my ceiling. I got a message on my phone so I reached over to see who it was. It was an unknown number and I didn't give my number to anyone. I checked the message and it said 'Hey, it's Oliver Yang. From class.' I smiled but questioned how he got my number. I shrugged it off and decided to answer in the morning because I'd rather not get in trouble again.

"Girl, you for real goin' to school like that? I love you but I know you can do better. Your too pretty to just do nothing special!" Dani called me this morning so we're getting ready together. She told me she'd pick me up today for school and I accepted. I mean, today is my lazy day so I  of course would say yes. But now here she is, telling me that I should dress a bit more special knowing today is my lazy day.

"Every day? Yeah, no thanks. Plus, today's my lazy day. Ima just put my hair up and that's it." I said fixing my messy bun on my head a bit. I looked down at the phone and I saw my friend shaking her head at me. I couldn't help but laugh a bit.

"You know what?" She asked me, but it wasn't much of a question. I just nodded my head back at her while I looked through my jewelry, smiling at her. "I'm already at yo' crib and I'm coming inside to help you." I shook my head at her, not really thinking she would do that.

"No, you ain't. I'm for sure not opening the door either even if you did." I laughed at her expecting to hear her say something back to me. But she didn't and that confused me. I grabbed the phone and put it up to my face from where it was on my bathroom sink. "Yo, Dani? You still there girl?" I asked but no response.

I then heard my front door open and I sighed heavily. No she didn't. I thought, I knew though that she did. I hung up the FaceTime and slowly opened the door. I looked into the hall and saw Dani talking to Patrick. She immediately noticed me and ran to me, jumping on me and giving me a bear hug. I didn't even struggle, I just let it happen and frustratedly groaned at her. But, I'll never tell her how much I love hugs.

I was way smaller than her so when she hugged me, I would literally be buried in her arms. I know, for someone so fit and strong to be so small. Who knew that would be a good match?

She eventually let go and held my shoulders smirking. "Told you Ima be up here." I rolled my eyes but smiled at her anyway.

"Alright, well you here now. What are you gonna do?" I nervously asked her, not really wanting an answer. She wiggled her eyebrows, with the same smug look on her face.

"You'll see." Dani plainly said. I sighed and nodded my head. Accepting my fate.

Everything she did surprisingly, only took about ten minutes. Makeup, hair, and even some eyebrow retouches. She quickly put me in front of my mirror and showed me her masterpiece. I looked great actually but I thought it was a bit much for a regular day of school. I smiled but turned to her with a worried face. She rolled her eyes already knowing what I'm worried about.

"Look babe, you gotta have more confidence. You look amazing and if they look at you. Let them look. They jealous of your beauty. Okay?" She said with a serious look yet it looked lovingly at the same time. Like a sister would. I smiled at her sweetness at laughed a bit, making her laugh. I gave her a short hug before leaving the bathroom to start going to school. She followed and we went to school in her car. Surprisingly Patrick didn't say much about how I looked. Maybe because he was so excited to see Sara.
