I want our memories to stick in his head like white on rice. I want to be the first thing in his mind in the morning and the last thing at night. But what most people don't realize is that you have to earn the right to be remembered. You have to be a highlighter in a group of pens. You have to be a white rose in a garden of red. You have to be worth being remembered. Whether it's being remembered for being someone's everything, or if it's being remembered for changing someone's life, or if it's being remembered for anything and everything great you've ever done. You have to be able to thumb tack yourself on the cork board of someone's brain and earn the right to keep your spot there.
