Between Times and Places

The Spell of Desires

Rowena knew she would be caught  soon since her legs were short and fairies were too fast so she also knew she needed to do something. The problem was she didn't know what. She could barely use her fingerglow there was no way she could use a spell to get herself out of this situation and there was no way she could physically outrun them. She felt a fairy grab her from her shoulder, another one from her dress and another one from her hair. Suddenly a dozen of fairies were tugging her from various places. Good first she had broken down in front of all school and had disappointed her mama, then she had made a scene and at last she tried to run away and failed. She was the disgrace of Nevers, the black sheep of the family who wasn't even black enough. She lost, failed, crumbled. Sometimes she thought if her mothers ever regreted having her. If they didn't have Rowena her mommy would be proud of all her children and have the perfect family she always wanted and her mama wouldn't have hopes of a child that would live up to her legacy and get disappointed over and over again.

 As Rowena thought these thoughts and strugguled to break free from the fairies, tears started to pour from her emerald eyes again. With all these feelings in her Rowena yelled one last time opening her arms wide and with that a wave of air which blow away all the fairies and the wolves coming towards her, spread on the clearing from her body. 

Rowena didn't understand what happend and she didn't stay long enough to learn. Running past some fairies laying on the floor Rowena entered The School for Evil. The rest was easy. She knew both the schools and their secret passages like the back of her hand. She entered one of the passages and run like crazy. When she entered a room she saw that her legs led her to the room where her mama kept her magic books. She needed a magical touch to fix things for sure. She read a lot of her mamas books but she didn't remember anything that could get her out of this mess. If her mamas books didn't have the answer in them then nothing would. Except... Rowena run to a special section where her mama kept very old books. The books that once belonged to Rafal. The first time Rowena understood these were Rafals books she stopped reading them because she got scared but now she didn't have a choice. She wanted a world or time her family loves her and is with her. So she needed to make it happen, doesn't matter how dangerous the spell was. 

She looked at the books and at  what the spells do. In one of the spells it said: "This spell leads people to find their deepest desires and have them. Imagine somewhere or sometime you can have the thing you wanted the most. At first you may think 'This is not what I wanted' 'This is not what ı wished for' but the spell will give you  what you were looking for, for sure." Rowena was walking in the air. She found what she needed, or she thought so. She moved to ingredients trying to figure out where she can get them. Now her mind clouded with how to do the spell she stop reading the explanation. Owh dear Rowena, why did you stop reading the explanation.

On the other clearing Rowena's family was  schoked by her new power. "What was that?" asked Dovey who was helping a fairy get up. "Must be her talent." said Lesso. "Isn't she too young for a talent?" asked Theodore. "I didn't get mine until I was in school." he added. Lesso who seemed troubled answered her son. "She must have felt something very intense. Remember emotions lead magic. It can't be just embarrassment. Anabella what did you and your sister fought about." Anabella seemed restless thinking that it could be her fault that her sister was missing now. Probably sitting somewhere crying. "She said no one wanted to play with her and she asked me to play with her and ı said yes but then she said she wanted to play after dinner and one of my friends said I am going to meet with Otto after dinner she looked at me like I stabbed her and run away." When the name Otto came to the conversation everyone suddenly tensed. "Wait you are dating Otto? How could you keep this a secret from me?" said Theodore with annoyance and a little anger in his voice. His sister and his best friend were dating and they kept it a secret from him. Speaking of dating I must also tell as the narrator when Theodore said dating Lady Lesso almost lost it. "After dinner means past curfew Anabella. I am very disappointed in you, you know it is against the rules. Why couldn't you just meet in the lunch break?" said Clarissa who was a little concerned about what they were planning to do after curfew. Knowing her daughter it was kissing at most but as a mother she was concerned. "WHO THE FUCK IS OTTO?" Lesso yelled at last. No body dared to answer. "You are too young to date. Both of you." Anabella tried to defend her love. "But mom  aunt Agatha was almost Theo's age when she got married." And what she said probably was the worst way to defend her love. Lesso's eyes grew wider. "NOW YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT MARRYING HIM. That's it no more school for you." She turned to Dovey. "You are poisoning my daughter with your stupid love thoughts." she said swaying her hands with anger. Then she turned to Anabella. "I am gonna lock you to our tower and never let you out again. See if your Prince Charming comes to save you daring to get killed by me." "But mom..." Anabella said whining. "Lesso that is enough. she is not marrying anyone she is just in love." defended Dovey. "Don't you even dare to open your mouth!" yelled Lesso. "The fact that you knew she was dating someone and didn't tell me or didn't stop it... You probably even encouraged it." she accused. "How can you tell mom and not me. Otto is my best friend how could you two keep it a secret from me." Lesso's eyes grew even wider. "Otto, Otto from the third graders? He is two years older than you. That is it I am killing him." Lesso said, about to leave the room to find Otto and then Storian knows what! Her wife hold her arm stopping her. "Enough. You are not killing one of my students and I know Otto he is a wonderful boy. Doing this won't stop their love or stop Anabella from dating, and no Leonora you can't lock her to our tower for the rest of her life, that will only cause her to keep secrets from us and push us away." said Clarissa. "She is already keeping secrets and push us away. She is planning to marry this boy and leave us forever." yelled Lesso. "Mom no..." said Anabella. Dovey sighed and continued to speak. "Dear do you know how many of my students thought they were going to marry their first boyfriend and didn't? Plus she is not leaving for good she is our daughter and we will always visit each other. Theo  is going for his quest next year without needing to marry anyone, does this mean we will never see him again? No. I am also sad that they are growing up so fast  and I am not ready to let go as well but this is not the way to react. No wonder Rowena run away, your mother thought as a grown up woman that you were going to leave her Rowena must have thought the same." Clarissa said. "Did you have to brought Otto into this? You could have meet him later." said Theodore. "As I said I didn't say anything my friend did. Plus she came crying to me because you had told her she was weak in front of all the boys." Anabella defended herself. When Theodore open his mouth to deny her mother spoke instead. "Theodore why did you do it? You know your sisters ego is fragile and she wants to be tough that is a big insult to her." "Fragile ego I wonder from whom she got that from." said Theodore. "Excuse me! What did you said?" Lesso yelled offended. "What I said is if her ego was so fragile maybe you shouldn't embarrassed her in front of the whole school. You litterally dragged her to the teachers table." said Theodore angrily. "I told you to let her go. She was so sad and embarrassed, and she was crying yet you dragged her instead of..." Lesso cut her wife in the middle of her sentence. "She was being spoiled. She can't just have a tantrum and cry in front of people. She will be a Never soon she can't be weak her nemesis will crush her if she sees her so emotional." "She is six." Clarissa yelled. "Of course she is gonna be emotional of course she is gonna cry she is a baby Leonora a baby. She needs to understand her emotions not run from them. She will end up like you if she doesn't. You are still having trouble expressing your emotions and I don't want the same for her." Lesso went red from her wifes words. "Don't talk about my emotions in front of children. That is hitting bellow the belt." "That is exactly what I am saying." pointed out Dovey fatigued. Emma came to the room. "Stop fighting you two we can't find Rowena" Clarissa suddenly seemed very concerned. "What do you mean you can't find her? You say that all those fairies and wolves can't find a girl in a school." said Lesso turning her concern to anger as a coping mechanism. "We looked everywhere. To classrooms to your office, to the museum every student checked their rooms she is nowhere to be found." Emma said anxiously. Now Lesso started to panic too. "Where could she be?" asked Anabella scared. "Maybe she moved using the water from the dungeons." computed Theodore. "Tell the wolves to search the  forest." said Lesso. "No, faries will do it faster and also tell them not to get her here we will go to her." said Dovey. "We should also check the good school. I will lead the good students to check their dormitories and the museum. Anna you tell the wolves to check our libary, classrooms and moms office." said Theodore. "Clarissa go check the secret passages of your school and I will check mine she loves hanging there." said Lesso. "With this intense emotions and her powers that she can't control she can hurt someone or worse, herself." she added before all of them went to do their parts.

When the Dean of Evil was checking the passages her daughter was running minutes ago Rowena was already walking on her tiptoes, Sophies snake skin that she stole from the museum on her. As her loved one searched and searched for her Rowena sneaked around gathering ingredients for her spell. It was a long shot of course, a rookie witch like her succeeding one of Rafals spells, but she had to try. When she had all the ingredients which she knew some of them were very rare, she sneaked into their tower to make the spell. A spell of blood magic, which Rowena didn't know.

When Rowena was reading the instructions and starting to do the spell everyone was looking for her. Two schools all united for her so they can stop her from hurting herself. Some cared, some didn't , just trying to avoid Lessos rage or Doveys sadness, but all united. Only if little Rowena who felt so alone could see all these people who were open to embrace her and hold her hand... But she didn't. On the contrary they saw her purple light coming from the Deans Tower when  she circled the diagrams she drawed with her blood and the diagrams lightened. And then they started to run. Lesso, Dovey, Theodore, Anabella, the teachers and some of the students. The teachers tried to hold the students back, not wanting them to go near little Rowena who couldn't control her powers. Theodore and Anabella were the first ones to reach the schools door passing the teachers. "She must be having a tantrum again, judging by her fingerglow." said Theodore. "Stay behind. It should be us she sees first. She can hurt you." yelled Anabella to the teachers and some nevers who were runing to the tower. 

When they entered the tower, Dovey run through the door of the good school pushing Princes Uma and Professor Espada aside. When Dovey was 4 steps away from the towers door Lesso exited the evil school trying to run but being held back by her injured leg. At that exact moment a thunder come from the tower and the purple light went crazy shining brightly like it come alive. Lesso falled while looking at it, Dovey seeing it stepped towards her just a step. Lesso yelled "Run!" as the other teachers tried to help her up. Dovey did, as they all understand now it was not Rowena who caused this light. When she entered the tower her son and daughter had already made it to the last steps.

"Rowena it is us." yelled Theodore as he burst the door open. Rowena was in a circle covered in blood strange diagrams in it. There was an almost invisible wall of wind over the circle. Thunders coming from it, a wall of storm; light from the diagrams blindening. "Rowei what is this, what did you do?" asked Anabella with panic. Just before she jumped right into the circle. "ANNABELLA NO!" screamed Theodore and then he jumped into the circle too.

When Lesso finally reach the door with the help of Castor which she wouldn't have accepted if it wasn't her children who were at stake she found her wife on her knees crying her heart out in a circle drawn with blood, Emma at her side hugging her. No trace of her children. As Lesso fall on her knees too and then crawl to her wife side she yelled with tears in her eyes: "WHERE ARE THEY? Where are my children?" Dovey only lifted her head when her wife was close enough for her to see the old spell book open on her knees. Dovey looked at her wife dead in the eyes and asked: "Lesso, what is this?"

Sorry for posting so late. At first I was sick and then ı went to a vacation (I am still in vacation). I hope you liked this episode. Don't worry it will be a funny and silly story rather than a sad one. Thank you all for reading and liking.
