I'm at school playing around and talking to Aiden like I do all the time. As if everything was normal between me and him, little does he know it's not.
The truth is I really, really like him. And even though we've been best friends since the 3rd grade I still can't bring myself to tell him.
He's always talking about the girl he likes. It's always Nova this and Nova that. That's her name by the way. She's a nice person and all but I still want him all to me, possessive or not.
Aiden and I are walking to class talking about who's house we're going to after school when Nova suddenly catches his eye
"Hey Nova" he says a little nervous "You wanna hang out with me and Delilah after school?"
"Uhm sure, if she's okay with it" she says and they both look at me, i nervously smile and say "sure!"
"cool i'll sent you the address alright" he says talking to Nova "yea sure thanks" she says walking away
"Ha you really like her dont you?" I say laughing and pushing him a little "yeah, me and her were talking the other day and we have so much in common" he says
"you don't even know her that well yet" I say chuckling "don't start crushing big time yet"
"Ha you're one to talk" he says "what do you mean?" I say back
"I mean you and what's his face are always together" he says smiling a little "not really.." I say back to him
"mhm, well anyways I think we should go to your house" he says "my house?!" I say in shock
"Yeah?" He says looking confused "Why can't we go to your house?" "Oh uhm I don't know, maybe because Nova is your guess, so shouldn't she be going to your house?
"I mean I guess you're right" he says looking down a little "exactly" I say "I'll still come over your house though"
"Ha, alright" he says back
As we head into the classroom together and take our seats next to each other someone's hands covers my eyes and says "guess who" it was a voice i recognized though
"Umm Elio?" I say with a big smile on my face "no" he laughs a little, "okay then this is definitely Hester!" I say now laughing a little
He removes his hands showing I guessed right, I turn around and laugh again, "hey!!" I say still smiling and laughing a little "hey!" He laughs back
Okay soooo maybe I have a itty bitty tiny crush on Hester, but I still like Aiden more!
"You scared me I first" I say to him smiling "Hah, I can tell" he says back "you jumped a little!"
"Hahah, okay I got you next time!" I say back
The teacher then says to take our seats and Hester sits on the other side of me
Whispering to him I say "She's gonna tell you to move, you know you don't sit there!"
He smiles "I know I don't but I want to see how long it takes for her to notice" he whispers back "Okay, but I warned you" I smile back
"Take out your notebooks and copy what's on the board!" The teacher says to the class
Everybody starts taking out their notebook and starts coping what's on the board, about five minutes pass when I see Hester tap my desk softly and swaps our notebooks
I look at him with a look that says "what?" And his eyes look at the part of his notebook he wanted me to look at, it was a note
The note said 'wanna come over my house after school?', i smiled a little and wrote back 'sorry I can't today, I'm going over Aiden's house', and switched our notebooks back
he read what I said and looked a little sad but wrote something back and said 'can I at least walk you to your next class?' And he switched our notebooks again
I read what he said and wrote back 'of course!' Then switched our notebooks back
He looked at what I said then smiled and gave me a thumbs up
