Author's Pov
Y/n and her boyfriend Vinnie had been together for over two years. He'd recently become somewhat of a local celebrity, known for his personality and heart-melting good looks. It was his twenty-first birthday and his friends had decided to throw him a surprise birthday party.
Y/n was having a good time, happy to be surrounded by his friends as they wished him a happy birthday. Then, two girls she had never seen before suddenly came up and started grabbing his neck and sitting on his lap while taking pictures.
Y/n had never expected this and, even though she had always been secure in her relationship, the sudden display of jealousy was too much for her. She excused herself and made her way out without anyone noticing her.
Outside, she began to cry, feeling betrayed and hurt that Vinnie had allowed those girls to do it. Suddenly a voice called her from the shadows, it was Vinnie. He had seen her leaving and had noticed something was wrong.
He asked her if he could come back to her apartment so he could explain his behavior. She agreed, still feeling hurt and insecure.
When they arrived, they talked for a while until Y/n finally expressed her feelings of jealousy. Vinnie apologized for letting the situation get out of hand and explained that he had been too drunk to realize what was happening. He gently hugged her, and they kissed for a while and then went to bed.
The next morning, Vinnie woke up early to make Y/n breakfast. She felt immensely grateful and finally started to relax again. They spent the day together holding hands, talking and laughing. In that moment, Y/n realized that Vinnie would never let anything come between them, and that no girl would ever break their relationship.
