Takeda Ittetsu was always shy, especially when it came to Y/N. It was no surprise that he had a crush on his fellow teacher, everyone knew. Everyone but Y/N. All of his failed attempts at asking Y/N on a date had gone straight over the young woman's head. In her mind, the pair were just good friends. A fact that she wished to change.

"Ittetsu!" Y/N hollered out across the faculty room. The young woman had two cups of milk tea in her hands, one strawberry and the other taro. "Look what I got is this morning!"

Takeda blushed crimson. He was ready for this. Today was the day that he would finally ask Y/N on a date. Well, successfully ask her.

"Y/N," Takeda started. "I got tickets to see that new movie you've been excited about. Would you like to come?" There, he did it! No matter how red he blushed or the way his voice cracked halfway through. It didn't matter. He had asked he on a date.

Y/N smiled brightly as she handed Takeda the taro milk tea. "You want to see a movie with me?"

"Y-Yeah! Just like normal. You, me and Ukai." Takeda wanted to hit himself so badly. He had just invited Ukai in a panic, too ashamed to clarify that he wanted a date. There was no fixing it. This is now added to his growing list of failed attempts at asking Y/N on a date.

"Of course! I'd love to come Ittetsu!" And so they went, the three of them.

"Good morning Ittetsu." Y/N greeted, smiling happily at her dear friend.

"Good morning Y/N." Takeda flushed, unbeknownst to Y/N. This was his chance, Y/N didn't have a milk tea today. This was a perfect opportunity to ask her on a date. "No milk tea this morning?"

"I was running late this morning and didn't have time to stop." Y/N sheepishly admitted. This was the first time that Takeda hadn't seen her with a milk tea in the morning since they met. He knew how much she loved strawberry milk tea. It truly was the perfect opportunity.

"Want to go get milk tea after work?" Takeda was proud of himself. He had gotten through the question without stuttering once! But his face was red as a tomato. Not that Y/N noticed.

"But Ittetsu, you have volleyball after work remember?" Oh right. Another date attempt failed. "But I'm free after practice if you want to do something!" Takeda perked back up upon hearing this. Another date opportunity in such a short window, it really was his lucky day!

"Well then, maybe we could go to dinner after practice?" Another date invite extended and another crimson Takeda waiting for an answer.

"That sounds great Ittetsu. Where do you want to go?"

Takeda panicked in response to her question, nervously looking around the room. "I'm not sure, I'll let Ukai pick tonight."

Y/N smiled kindly, oblivious to the way Takeda flinched at his own words. "Sounds perfect. Keishin always picks the best food."

"Ittetsu!" Y/N waved him down, an excited smile covering her face. It was the weekend and the trio had plans, due to another one of Takeda's failed date invites.

"You look great Y/N." Takeda blushed.

"Thank you Ittetsu, you look good as well. That shirt looks great on you." Y/N complimented. Takeda turned redder than he ever had before, but once again it went right over Y/N's head. "Keishin must be running late." Y/N commented.

Takeda nodded in agreement, looking around for their friend. He spotted Ukai quickly, but kept his mouth shut as Ukai held a finger over his lips when the pair made eye contact. 'Ask her.' Ukai mouthed.

Takeda nodded slightly, to signal that he understood. He could do this. He has learned from his many failed attempts. Now was the time to be direct and not worry about the details. The important part is asking Y/N to go out with him. And now was the time.

"Hey, uh, Y/N?"

"Yes?"

"Will, will you go on a date with me?" He got through the question only stuttering once and his face crimson. He did it. There was no way that he could mess this one up. There was no going back or talking his way out of this. All he could do was wait and hope that she will agree.

Y/N blinked, then smiled sweetly at Takeda. "Yes Ittetsu. I would love to go on a date with you."
