CHAPTER 83 : Lisa And Reid 2

Lisa's eyes was close as if sleeping but there was a frown on her face, she was too weak to open her eyes or even complain about how much pain she was in, only two of her mates were left to watch over her, the rest had gone searching for Vince, she felt like if she lose consciousness she might never be able to see her mates or her little cubs again.

Just when her helplessness was at max and she was already planning on giving up, Reid finally came back, though she didn't see him, she could clearly hear his voice “I'm back”, she flinched, Reid came back previously and said he was able to find a new witch doctor, and he took some bowls with him when he left.

Lisa felt a little angry, she was dieing here and this idiot was busy joking around, even if he was able to find a witch doctor, won't the witch doctor come to her himself and treat her ailments. now that he had returned again she wondered what other nonsense he was up to.

Ried came close to her but her other mates won't let him pass, Ried didn't try to force his way in, he was afraid he would waist the medicinal liquid, “the witch doctor asked me to give Lisa this water, it would help her get better”.

Despite his explanations, they still didn't let him pass, they too had miss givings about Reid and so they didn't believe him. Ried had made a mistake in the past, ever since then, the rest of Lisa's mates lost their trust in him, he also lost Lisa's favorability.

Thankfully the fragrance from the medicinal liquid was able to reach Lisa, and it was attractive enough for her to force herself to speak “g.. give me”, hearing this the other two beast men collected the sea shell from Reid, they brought it to Lisa and fed her with it.

They fed her too quickly, and it made Lisa cough out, the beastman who fed her withdrew and wanted to throw it away, but Lisa held onto his hand.

The liquid was a little spicy and it was also quite warm, but the little that managed to go through Lisa's mouth was able to bring warmth to her stomach, and Lisa wanted to feel that warmth again so she immediately held the hand of her mate when she felt him withdrawing his hands.

Lisa opened her mouth again which was a sign that she wanted to be fed, the beastman obliged without a word but this time, he fed her slowly.

The tea tasted spicy which stung Lisa's tongue a little, but it was more like a gentle scratch that made her feel comfortable after swallowing it. She didn't know how Reid got this water, or if it would help her condition, but at the very least let this be the last good thing he would do for her before she died.

After Lisa finished the medicinal liquid, she looked at Reid, “get me more”, she said before turning away and closing her eyes. Reid smiled, it has been a while since she spoke to him and he was really happy that she did.

Reid immediately took the sea shell and ran back to Vince's cave where he saw Hao Shen and Kevin sitting close to the pot, the fire under the pot was still burning but it wasn't as intense as before.

Hao Shen had already asked Kevin to clear one of the clam shell bowls, so when he saw Reid, his eyes lit up “you're finally back, how was it?”, Reid replied enthusiastically “she liked it a lot, and she wanted to have more.. can i?” Reid asked.

Hao Shen answered with a smile, “go ahead, pour the rest of the medicinal liquid into the bowl and take it home, you don't have to return, I'll be leaving now, I'll ask about her condition tomorrow”.

After Hao Shen was done speaking, Kevin lifted Hao Shen off the floor and headed to his cave, Reid saw the direction they took, memorized it, before taking the rest of the medicine and leaving with it.
