The JEM-9 would have driven all the way to the mall if it weren't for the police car quickly approaching it. The sun was already beginning to set. It was wasting time. The Terminator looks at its newly-destroyed Suzuki. It would be impossible to escape with the motorcycle in that state.
A portly, bald police officer steps out of the car. Using its internal identification system, the JEM-9 identifies the man as Wallace Jones.
"Miss, are you alright?" He asks. "What's your name?"
"You shouldn't concern yourself with me, officer." The JEM-9 says sweetly. "I'll be fine."
"Are you sure? Your blood is pretty dark-"
The JEM-9's arm shoots out and forms a long, metal knife. Its metal limb pierces Wallace's chest and doesn't stop until it touches the car door. The Terminator removes its arm from Wallace's chest, grabs the keys to Wallace's car, turns on the ignition, and pulls onto the road. It looks in the rear view mirror to find Wallace in a pool of his own blood.
"This is not blood." The JEM-9 says. "This is the future."
