Cruel Summer

-first day-

"Jacob" charlie said turning around sounding almost scared "what are you doing here wearing that" he asked sternly "um i-i have a job here" charlie told the tall guy "well can you at least cover up i mean no one wants to see that" jacob said rudely "yea" charlie said putting on a shirt "so when did you get here?" Charlie asked nicely "why do you care?" Jacob asked with a tone

"Because im trying to be ni-" charlie said before jacob grabbed her wrist tightly "dont use that tone what did we talk about last week" jacob tols the girl squeezing her wrist charlie couldnt say anything she was frozen in fear "jacob?" Jeremiah asked jogging over there "oh hey jeremy" jacob said "its jeremiah" he replied dryly

"Oh my breaks over gotta go" charlie said running away from the akward silence

but her break wasnt exactly over so she went over to stevn where he was working "oh hey steven" charlie said sitting down "hey" he said smiling at her "so hows your first day going?" Charlie asked as stevn handed a shirly temple "dude im making so much money im gonna be rich" steven told the blonde singing the 'rich' which made charlie laugh "you know this jo-" "charlie" steven got cut off as you jumped and turned around. Jacob smiled at charlie

Charlie looked at steven before jacob went in for a kiss "so what are you talking about?" Jacob asked when he felt like he got under stevens skin enough "i thought your break was over?" Jacob told charlie "oh i guess it wasnt"

Charlie was about to walk away to go back to work when jacob harshly grabbed your arm "i'll see you later" jacob said before powerfully kissing her

About a couple of hours later charlie convinced conrad to drive her to jacobs house because charlie had to talk to jacob "just text me if you need anything" conrad said nervously because he knew what was going on before charlie heasitently nodded her head

Charlie knocked on the door only to see jacobs dad open the door "oh hey charlie" he said with a smile "hi mr smith...um can i talk to jacob?" Charlie asked "of course" he said opening the door wider before she looked at conrads car one more time before leaving

Charlie than went up to jacobs room and quietly knocked on the door "come in" jacob yelled from the door "hey...um, can we talk?" Charlie asked jacob as he got up from his bed "sure what do you want" jacob asked "um i dont think this relationship is gonna work out i just have to like myself before i like others" charlie told jacob "what did you say?" Jacob said getting closer to charlie "i-i i want to break up" charlie said a little bit quiter before jacob slammed his hand down on the table right near them

"Dont even say that again...got it?" Jacob told charlie strenly very close to her as charlie nodded "good, no go someones coming over soon and i dont want you to ruin it" jacob told charlie before she left

Charlie than went home not even thinking that laurels book fair was the same night

The next day came along and today was diffrent, it was bellys birthday

Charlie woke up very early to get everything ready for her....charlie and belly had this tradition that on whoevers birthday they will drop whatever they are doing and make it about them and make them something unforgetable but the thing present before their real present has to be made from scratch and charlie had forgoten all about it until like 12:00am last night

Charlie right now was downstairs finding whatever she could to put something together "oh morning honey" susannah said walking dowm the stairs suprised when she was charlie "morning mom" charlie said looking in the droor "do you need help?" she asked the girl as she was running around "cant help its the rule" charlie said finding the scissors

"Ah yes the conklin fisher sisters tradition...you know you guys started me and your mom to do it to" susannah said making herself coffee and making charlie iced cofee "really?" Charlie said getting the rapping paper out "how do you have wrapping paper" susannah laughed getting out the ice for charlie "i went out a couple nights ago but dont tell jacob" charlie told her mom strenly as she nodded "speaking of jaco-"

"Gotta go duty calls" charlie said picking up the present advoiding talking about jacob running up stairs to bellys room turning on the lights before going on her bed "happy birthday belly" charlie said as she woke her up "thanks char" belly said waking up "oh this is for you" charlie said pulling something out from her bag belly unwrapped it and it was a picture with everyone framed with stickers which made belly smile

"Hey i thought we agreed no buying this year" belly told charlie "yea but i couldnt make a frame by myself" charlie told the girl as she laughed "happy birthday belly" she said hugging belly "im love being your sister" belly said which made charlie hug tighter
