Off from Neverland

A safe place, I thought I had found.

Safe from my past's hounds.

A simple sentence, a simple gesture

Simplest of anything from you mister

Would send my heart racing

Tell me to keep chasing.

Oh but your heart resides in Neverland

While mine is stuck in the midst of a quicksand.

'Oh help me Pan!', I wish I could call him.

Not to bring me there but to help me fly

And maybe then I'll be too happy to even cry.

A little pixie dust here and a little there

And I'll be on an adventure far somewhere.

A place my eyes won't tear up

Filled with magic to cheer me up.

Memory charms that would make me forget

All your words that I will probably never get.

The tiniest gestures that make my heart flutter

Would stop bothering and wouldn't even matter.

With aching red eyes and a broken heart

A lost soul of which I bared a part

All I wish is to escape this quagmire.

What did I ever do to deserve this ire?

I wish you all the happiness you deserve

While I too crave to be happy as a free dove.

First crush? Everyone will have one, probably already has one or has had one

First crush? Everyone will have one, probably already has one or has had one. Your first ever heartbreak over your first crush? Meh. Not everyone. Well this poem is about the experience of falling for a person deeper than you had intended to. And if that person can't reciprocate those feelings....

*a painfully long hiss*

Things mostly go downhill from there.

That feeling of being stuck while you desperately try to get rid of those unwanted feelings. Feelings you never wanted in the first place because you just wanted to focus on things more important.

Don't forget to hit the star on the left hand corner and do comment and share if you like the poem. Toodles!
