They say your first heartbreak is the hardest to get over. I'm not sure how much I believe that though. There are so many levels of heartbreak that I find it hard to believe that you can quantify which ones are the hardest to get over. Like Special Agent Dereck Morgan leaving Criminal Minds. That was an especially difficult heartbreak to move past.
If I'm being honest with myself though, it is the "what ifs" that bring the most pain. You toss around a variety of questions all starting with "what if", knowing that you won't get an answer. So what if we didn't live in the land of what-ifs? What would happen if we just lived our lives without questioning how things could've been different, what we could've done differently?
What would happen if we blindly followed fate and put our full trust in the universe? I mean, what could go wrong.
