"So..."
"So what?" Lucas asked as he looked at the floating female above him with a raised eyebrow
The said female only grinned creepily and clapped her hands. "wanna see a magic trick?"
Lucas deadpanned as he sighed and straight out rejected that offer
"Awh, no fun!" The goddess pouted as she refused to look at him,"but I'll let it slide since you're so handsome. "
"Sister!" At that, they both turned their heads towards the running female
"Yes, bai? What is it, sweetie?" Irene asked her as she stopped floating and landed in front of the teen
"I wanna explore more of this world!" Bai told them with an excited smile as she looked at both Irene and Lucas like they were her guardians
"Sure, sweetie, we'll come too!" Irene said with a smile, and Lucas wanted to protest, but a glare from the goddess was all it took for him to agree too
"Oh, have you seen the wolf pup?" Irene asked bai as she looked around, not seeing the little rascal
Bai didn't have time to say anything as the wolf pup appeared out of nowhere and jumped in her arms, scaring her and making the poor girl shriek
"Oh, there you are!" Irene said happily as she gave the pup headpats
"Are you ready, Bai?" Irene waited for an answer. Once confirmed, they started walking, or well, slithering in Lucas case
Once they were out of the barrier, they came back down towards the village, seeing as it was really early, and the sun barely showed there weren't many beastmen outside,
As they were walking, a specific thought pleagued the goddesses mind.'Have i forgotten about something?' But once they passed near some leopard beastmen, they heard them converse
"Have you seen parker these days?" One of them asked the other
"No.. has he left?" The other replied
At that Irene tried to hold in her laughter 'oh fuck! He was still tied! I-' as she tried to control her face, Lucas looked at her skeptically,
"What did you do?" He asked her in a hushed manner with a raised eyebrow, seeing that she avoided eye contact "Irene..."
"Okay, okay! I may or may not have forgotten he was tied up with rope!" She whispered as she let out a few giggles
"And what did he do for him to have that fate?"
"Hurt Bai."
"Then he deserved it,"
At that, both Irene and Lucas nodded to one another, 'he definitely deserved it'
As they were almost out of the village, they heard a voice they didn't wanna hear
"Ugh, it's you two ugly females again!" Eudora said as she scoffed at them
"Listen here, lady, dont you have anything better to do? Oh wait, you dont. Your males do all the work and let you laze off like some kind of-" Irene was cut off by Lucas who wrapped a hand around her mouth and dragged her next to Bai, who looked with a slight glare of her own at Eudora who looked like a truck just hit her,
"Alight, alright, cool off dear, we dont want useless confrontation," Lucas said as he shushed Irene and gave her headpats, making her sigh happily
Once they left again, it seemed like they were near some river now,
"You know, for a goddess, you sure act funny," Lucas said as he sighed and shook his head with a small smile
"Ehe."
"What do you mean 'ehe'-"
As they talked, they noticed that bai suddenly yelled, then disappeared under the ground
"Oh fuck"
