The little girl woke up with a big smile on her face. She jumped off the bed allowing her small feet to touch the cold floor and knocked on the door. Jonathan opened the door to see her smiling, "Good morning Mr Jonathan" she greeted sweetly.
He gave her a sad smile in return, "Morning Em"
She looked around him almost as if she was trying to see if someone was behind him, only for him to realize who she was looking for.
"He'll be -", Damien's figure made its way into the room. As soon as the little girl saw him, her smile grew. She ran to him and hugged his thighs, "Morning Mr Damien" she greeted.
But instead of patting her on the head, he pushed her away, "Get her ready. They'll be here soon" he ordered Jonathan and left.
Jonathan's heart broke looking at the little girl who had tears in her eyes. She got attached so quickly to Damien and now that he pushed her away and ignored her, she's heartbroken.
All Jonathan could do was kneel down to her height and hold her as she cried.
Yet outside the door hearing her little sobs, stood Damien who was just as heartbroken as she was.
