As Taehyung settled into the chair, and Namjoon took his seat behind the desk, Taehyung asked, "Are you sure this is a good time for you?"

"Yes," Namjoon confirmed. "As I told you yesterday, the patient I was supposed to be seeing right now had something come up last minute."

"I see, but I won't take up much of your time. I just wanted to say thank you for how much you have helped Jungkook."

Caught by surprise, a shy smile graced Namjoon's lips. "I assume he did the homework I gave him, and he told you about being a regular patient of mine."

"He did," Taehyung confirmed. "I was a bit surprised and confused by him not telling me sooner."

"Well, he might not have told you sooner because, according to him, you don't like me," Namjoon said.

Taehyung's eyes widened in surprise. He nervously laughed, slightly embarrassed. "No, it's not like that. I... I know the way I acted toward you when we first met might have given the impression that I don't trust you, and I'm sorry for that... I didn't even give you a chance."

"Apology accepted. Let's let the past be the past," Namjoon said with a gentle smile.

Taehyung nodded in agreement. "I see now that you know what you are doing. You got Jungkook to talk to his parents again. I didn't think that was going to ever happen."

"Jungkook did all the hard work; I just pushed him in the right direction," said Namjoon.

"You have worked hard as well. I can't believe I didn't trust in your ability to do your job, and that Jungkook had to go against my will to get Mini the help he needs."

"Is there any particular reason you didn't trust me at first?" Namjoon asked, curiosity flickering in his eyes.

"No, I prefer not to trust strangers too quickly. People tend to lie and have hidden agendas," Taehyung replied.

Namjoon leaned back in his chair, understanding Taehyung's perspective. He appreciated Taehyung's honesty and openness. "I can understand your cautious approach, Mr Kim. Trust is a delicate matter, and it's essential to be careful about whom we let into our lives. It's perfectly normal to be sceptical of strangers, especially when it comes to someone you care deeply about."

"Yes, exactly. I was just trying to protect Mini. I didn't want him to get hurt or be taken advantage of."

"I'm glad Mini has you, someone who cares about him and his safety," Namjoon said, smiling.

"I care deeply for him," Taehyung confirmed.

"What about Jimin?" Taehyung momentarily froze, hearing the name slip off Namjoon's lips. "How do you feel about him after the betrayal?"

It took a moment for Taehyung to respond; Namjoon patiently waited. "When Jungkook and I caught him, I barely felt anything... Jungkook got angry, which was an appropriate reaction if you ask me. I, on the other hand, felt numb."

Namjoon nodded, understanding the emotional complexity of the situation. "Betrayal can leave us feeling numb and disconnected. It takes time to process such emotions and come to terms with what happened."

"I know... It wasn't like that. It was a horrible case of Deja vu."

"You've been cheated on before?" asked Namjoon, tilting his head to the side.

"No, no... My father cheated on my mom."

Namjoon's expression softened, his eyes filling with empathy. "I'm sorry you had to go through that. Infidelity can have a lasting impact on those involved, especially children who witness it."
