StarPoisons.

Cursed, having a spell or bad luck put on something or someone, causing them to experience misfortune or problems. It's like having a magical or supernatural negative influence on a person, object, or situation.

His boots echoed throughout the halls as his apprentice hurried to catch up with him.

"You mustn't kill him! He was just there at the wrong time! So was I, It was my fault!" The apprentice pleaded desperately. But he ignored the pleas, his mind consumed by suspense and anger. He opened a door leading to his study, with his little apprentice following closely behind, still pleading, "We can try making use of him, I beg!"

Inside, his head throbbed with the weight of stress, yet he maintained an outward appearance of calm and composure. He turned towards his apprentice and spoke firmly, "Tell Suave to alert me when he awakes. Jasper."

There was a tense silence, and Jasper, the apprentice, hesitated before opening his mouth to speak again, but then he sighed and looked away, too hesitant to say anything further.

He walked out of the study, leaving Fallacy.

...

"Mortals?" Encre questioned, his eyes widening in disbelief. Where was he really? This was all too surreal.

"Don't fret! The lords are very friendly!" Suave reassured him, trying to put his worries at ease. Just then, a knock echoed around the room. "Enter," Suave called out, and a glass of water was pushed toward Encre's mouth. Despite feeling hesitant, he took a sip, realizing how much he craved this water.

A smaller figure entered, stepping into the dim candlelight nearby. Familiar almost.

As the candle's glow revealed more details, Encre couldn't help but gasp. The figure had black bones and eyes with a mesmerizing magenta tint. One eye had a regular pupil, while the other had a star-like shape, creating a unique and enigmatic gaze. Under his eyes, there were strange, beautiful orange markings that added to his otherworldly appearance. And finally, a little fang sticking out.

Encre coughed out the water, his body trembling with the memories of what had happened. The rush of recollection made him feel nauseous once more. "C'est eux! Je les ai vus- je-.." he stammered, his voice filled with fear and distress.

"Oh! Well.. Perhaps it's better if I speak with you outside, Lord Jasper.. It seems he is still a bit shaken up.." Suave said, causing Jasper to slightly frown. Suave then walked towards Jasper, leaving the room for a moment. Jasper followed him outside, He could hear them conversing almost, although only slight mumbles.

Then silence.

...

The door opened, and Suave re-entered once more.

"Apologies for leaving you alone. I see you're still shaken by the young lord," Suave said with a gentle smile. "I promise he is not usually like what you saw. He apologizes, though he was too nervous to speak to you."

Encre nodded, his fear slowly subsiding. "It's just... all so overwhelming," he admitted, his voice trembling slightly, his thick accent still so present. "I never expected to find myself in a place like this, surrounded by beings I can't comprehend."

Suave nodded understandingly. "I can imagine... Don't worry. Just rest. Perhaps you and the young lord will get along once you wa-" Suave's reassuring words were interrupted by the sudden opening of the door. The candle's flame flickered and then extinguished, plunging the room into an eerie silence. Encre felt a shiver run down his spine, sensing the tension in the air.

He strained his eyes in the dimness, trying to make out the figure that had entered. The room seemed to hold its breath, waiting for something to happen.

"Jasper?" Suave's voice broke the silence, calling out to whoever seemed to stand there.

In the darkness, Encre's soul pounded, unsure of what was unfolding before him. He remained quiet, waiting for the truth to be revealed.

"I thought Jasper told you to alert me when the mortal would wake."
