SUMMARY
If you live in Stars Hollow, you know many names. Taylor Doose, the town nagger and self-proclaimed mayor of the town. Miss Patty, the town gossip. Luke Danes, the town grump. Lorelei Gilmore, the town sunshine. Rory Gilmore, the town's treasure and proudest achievement as if they all raised her themselves. And Annie Hartley, the nicest girl in town. She was the best person in Stars Hollow, so much so that she actually received a real medal from Taylor himself. She wasn't the usual popular girls that inspired fear in Stars Hollow high. She was the exact opposite. She was an A+ student, in every club that existed, from cheerleading to robotics. She never said no to a favour and always came through on a promise. There was no one who didn't like her. 

There was one person however who didn't agree with the general consensus, Kate Hartley, Annie's younger sister. Ever since their mother left when Annie was eight and Kate was six, Kate has despised her sister and she made sure that she knew it. 

But Annie never let her sister get her down. She worked hard for everything she had and was proud of the person she had become. And if she wasn't going to let her own sister effect her, she sure as hell wasn't going to let the arrival of a moody New York city boy get her down either. Jess Mariano arrives to town with a negative attitude and a lot of hostility towards the town's resident people pleaser. But if he thought that a few quips and rude remarks were enough to deter Annie Hartley, then boy did he have another thing coming.

author's note; so as you can tell this story is already different. i decided to get rid of molly and kaelyn because as much as i tried in the original, i couldn't incorporate them in the way that i wanted. i think i was taking on too many characters at once and it was just overwhelming and not well executed. but who knows maybe they will make a return.

as for annie she is very different than before. as much as i enjoyed her being this soft little bean that needed protecting, i didn't do a good job at portraying the varied aspects of her personality properly and decided to expand on this idea of making her "perfect". in the original she was a girl who had no practical skills but was just handed things because of her kindness but i realised that doesn't align entirely well with the character arc i had in mind and realised that it would make much more sense to have her be an overachiever who worked incredibly hard for everything she has despite how stressed it makes her.

she will still be precious and have remnants of the old annie but in this version i wanted some who is the most "perfect" person and has a fear of disappointing people and i thought the best way to do this was to have someone with higher walls and a stronger façade.

nonetheless i hope you love her as much as you loved the old her (or more) and hope that her dynamic with jess and overall storyline is a lot more enjoyable.
