A Metaphor

He always found it odd

He found it odd how people steered clear from darkness...

But he supposed it was a natural instinct to hate or fear something that hindered you in some way

.

.

.

It hurt when he'd think of how darkness often portrayed as the symbol of all things bad, it didn't sit right with him

But he couldn't blame them

.

.

.

Darkness... it's where the light shines

It's how we see the stars, when the sky becomes a black canvas for those stars to glow once more. No longer overpowered by our sun... even if only for a few hours

It's why we shoot fireworks at night

.

.

.

And it's where the universe was born

In the darkness

Now it's ever thriving, living, growing

.

.

.

Imagine children, as little specks of light... as little stars

Trying their best to glow, trying their best to achieve

Now

Imagine an ever sunny sky.

.

.

Would you be able to see the stars?

.

.

.

They say love is forever, never-ending

What you love so greatly shall drown in your love

Nurturing, and ever-expanding

.

.

.

That

Is what darkness is to me

.

.

.

Within darkness, stars were born

A darkness so frightening

Love too, is frightening, I'd think

But we grow, ultimately

And we shine so bright when we're given love

.

.

.

Darkness gave space for stars, the planets, and everything else

It gave space

And nurtured it

.

.

.

And now, we explore it

.

.

.

"Y'kno, night is also a good time set up pranks", Api grinned at Dark

Dark just smiled

.

.

.

He smiled

.

.

.

Darkness, for me

Is a metaphor
