Zara sqiunted his eyes as he felt strained from the sunlight beaming through his blinds. He rolled around in his bed, pulling the covers over his head. Finally, he felt peaceful only for five minutes before the alarm on his phone went off. He groaned and took ten minutes before he actually got up. He reached his hand out to grab his glasses. He turned on his phone to see a message from Iziekeil. "Hey bro, you coming to school today?" Zara brushed back his messy black hair as he typed, "Yea, meet me by the buss stop, as usual" Zara and Iziekiel lived two blocks from each other so they went the same way to school. Zara got up and walked to his bathroom to brush his teeth. When he was done, he spent 20 minutes looking for something to wear even though he'd most likely wear the basically same thing he always does. He hurried as he threw on a pair of ripped black jeans, his essential hoodie, and his black and white converse.

He ran to the mirror in his bathroom and combed his hair back. Running down the stairs, he saw his mom in the kitchen. "Bye, Mami! I'm going to school!" He shouted. "Where do you think you're going without any breakfast?" She shouted. "Ahh.. sorry, mami, " he said as he walked into the kitchen. He took an arepa in his hand and bent down to kiss his mother's cheek. "Love you, mami," He says as he rushes out the door. Tying his shoes with an arepa in his mouth, he looks up and sees Izeikiel walking up his block. "What the hell, dude?!" He said, angered. Zara had taken 40 minutes and left Iziekeil waiting for 30. "Sorry, bro.." he trailed off.

As they walked down the block, they eventually got on their bus, sitting in the back as Zara looked up, he saw.. her. With a wide smile, Malia walked on the bus with her best friends, Jacob and Lauren. Izeikeil elbowed Zara as he began to laugh, he knew how long Zara had liked malia. Malia and her friends wondered around the bus, stopping at the begging of the back, whilst Zara and Iziekeil were in the very back. Malia turned her head as she let out a smile at the boys. Zara smiled nervously as he itched the back of his head. Iziekeil waved. Malia turned around and returned, talking to her friends. Zara exhaled, and Iziekeil laughed.

When they got at their stop, they all walked out. Malia and her friends began pushing each other and laughing while Zara and Iziekeil trailed behind them.
