"Drink" Klaus raised his glass, filled with another persons blood and took a large gulp in front of a large group of followers.

Lana sat quietly in the corner with a glass of Amber liquid clutched in her hands. She found it a extraneous that she had to drink Klaus' blood to initiate, but what did she have to lose? A job at a whore house, an apartments that's falling to pieces.

She watched as other men tipped the liquid into their mouths and wiped them clean with their sleeve.

Lana gulped; she raised the glass and say the edge between her lips. And after a few seconds of hesitation, she tipped the glass and drunk it all.

At first she tried not to gag. The metallic taste of blood mixed with the strength of the bourbon. But when it had settled down and the burning sensation in her throat had calmed, she then relaxed.

"You" Klaus walked up and looked her straight in the eye "I'll start with you" he held out his hand for her to take.

Reluctantly, she did. Her small, dainty hand drowned in his beast like one as he pulled her off her chair and in front of the crowd.

What was he doing? Many questions ran through her mind as she felt dozens of eyes bore in to hers. Lana's eyes darted around the room to find something to focus on. She was never good in front of crowds, and she couldn't look at Klaus, because, even though she is joining his group, she found him just down right creepy.

Klaus circled her and stopped just behind her, so she could only feel his warm breath spread along her lower neck and upper back. It sent shivers down her spine and every fibre of her being told her to run for it.

And then he made contact. His fingers gently ran down the side of her neck. Lana closed her eyes and took a deep breath in. Was this because she was the only girl? Was it because she worked in a brothel? Because she was sure that he wouldn't treat his male guests like this.

"Easy love" he whispered in her ear "I can smell fear and right now, you reek of it"

She exhaled. Fighting back tears and her heart racing a mile a minute. She didn't reply, only a small head movement to try and look behind her. But Klaus' hands caught her cheek and gently pushed her back to look towards the crowd.

She then closed her eyes again. If she hoped hard enough, maybe this night would end quickly, whether she be breathing or not.

Klaus resumed running his fingers along her neck until his hands reached each side of her jaw line. And snap.

Lana's head flicked to the side as if it were only held together by a thin piece of string, and her body flopped to the ground immediately.

Klaus watched as the others looked at the body and then each other. One actually began to scream and others started to run.

But, of course, Klaus was too fast for them. One by one, bodies dropped to the ground, snapped necks, drained of blood, strangulation. He did have a flare for the theatrics. And now, he stood in the middle of the room with bodies scattered around him, waiting for the extension of his army to awake.

Elijah shook his head at the sight. He waded through the bodies to get to Klaus. As he stepped over the last one, he swore he recognised her.

Ah yes. She was the barmaid. Elijah couldn't help but feel sorry for her, being lead on to believe a better life was in order, when really she was only being tricked into her death.

"I see you've had your fun" Elijah scanned the room full of bodies again before making eye contact with his brother

"I can't say I haven't, some of these men are complete wusses when it comes down to dying" Niklaus laughed openly and loudly, it echoing through the room

"And what about her?" Elijah nodded to Lana, who was lying on her side. "How did she take it?"

"Well, she was scared when I started to run my fingers up her neck" Klaus spoke slowly to ensure that Elijah had the right feel for the situation and understood fully what he had done "her heart raced so fast I could barely keep up, I did have to control myself, her blood pumped through her veins so loudly, I almost took a bite. But she was fine once I snapped her neck"

Elijah shook his head. Did he really have to drag her death out that long? He could feel how scared she must have been, and frankly, to be in Niklaus' grasp, he felt sorry for her and slightly guilty that he didn't stop it.

"And what happens now?" Elijah asked, steering away from the conversation. He didn't know how much more he would be able to take, listening to the gruesome details of how he killed every individual, without lashing out.

"Well, by the time they awake, it will still be night fall; I will take them out to complete transition and then we start our training" He smiled with triumph "at the end of the week, I'll get all of the army together for a celebration, let's call it a "pre- full leadership of New Orleans" party"

"And I'm sure they'll be waking up very soon" Elijah looked down at the bodies once more before stepping away.

Once he had left the room. Niklaus admired his own work for a moment.

Suddenly, Klaus saw Lana gasp loudly and sit up. Her head twisted and turned as she examined the room.

She scrambled up when she realised that she was sat in someone else's blood and that the people surrounding her were all dead.

"Welcome back to the land of the living, love" Klaus welcomed her

"What the hell?" She said, still looking around the room "what did you do?"

"Only just made your life 10x better" he smiled. And from then on, Lana and Niklaus watched as each man sat up.
