"I have discovered a country
inside a pomegranate"

- John R. Carpenter

note from the reluctant poet

All poetry teachers tell you to throw the first hundred attempts you make away. Having discovered that I'm something of a hoarder, I have instead rescued a few of those doomed lines and collected them together in a book, if only to have a record of how far I've come to look back on later in my career as a writer. It's an eclectic mix of extended metaphor, early adulthood feelings and low comedy, which all represent a stop on the journey to where I am today. I hope you enjoy.
