"You should totally go to that taco truck that's by the mechanic shop near this side of town. They make some good food there," Alejandro said while smiling
"Oh yeah! Is it a green taco truck?" I asked
He nodded
"I know which one you're talking about, I haven't tried their food, but I bet it tastes good." I smiled slightly

"This pueblo got some good food, and we throw one of the best parties," he said, smiling proudly
"Really? Im assuming you guys throw your parties in the main side of town, right?"
"Of course we do! Every party we throw is always lit...literally-" Alejandro said, letting out a slight chuckle

"Oh- well, you guys must be drunk when that happens," i said, smiling awkwardly
"Yeah, but the parties are still good. We dance until we can't anymore, it's really fun. The ladies are making some good food for the parties too, "

"Sounds good. Do you guys have parties on special occasions? Or just out of boredom, " I asked
"Eh- sometimes we have celebrations or just out of plain boredom, to brighten up the mood you know" he said with a smile, "It's always fun to mess around here, whether we're getting drunk or high, it's always a good time right here, in this town. I'm sure you'll get used to this in no time. "

"I hope so," I said as I smiled
I wasn't into parties all that much, I mostly just want to stay in my room and chill by myself
But maybe this won't be so bad

As we kept walking, small water drops fell from the sky
I looked up, and the dark clouds darkened up more and the rain poured down more
He grabbed my hand and ran to the nearest store

"Well fuck..I didn't bring an umbrella" he said with a chuckle
"Me either, but let's hope it goes away soon" I said
We looked around the store, looking at the random things they had
Cowboy hats
Cowboy boots
And belts
Lots and lots of belts
It was nice but dang where the prices too high
150 dollars for a belt? Yeah no thanks-

But then again it's made out of real leather
I kept looking around and saw a hat
It was a nice maroon color, I kinda liked it
I looked at the price tag
It was 60 dollars
Although it is a very nice hat, I'm not spending 60 dollars on it

I mean someone has to be crazy to buy this type of-

"Look what I bought! It only cost me 80 dollars, doesn't it look nice?" Alejandro asked as he held a brown cowboy hat
"..it looks great" I said, smiling awkwardly
He says it like 80 dollars wasn't a lot...

"Oh, you like that hat? I could get it for you if you want, " Alejandro said as he smiled
"No, it's fine, I was just looking," I said
"You sure?"
"Positive"
I looked outside, and the rain calmed down a bit
"Hey, I think we should be fine now to come out," I said

"Oh, right, yeah, let's go," Alejandro said, taking my hand and walking out of the store
I looked at both of our hands, blushing a bit
His hands interlocked with mine
For some reason, I let him. Do I know why?

There was something about him that made me feel somewhat safe and not weird

"Well, it's getting late. Where are you supposed to meet up with your dad?" He asked
" I think he said by the fountain" I said
We walked to the big fountain
Yup, I was right
I saw dad, Mateo (who looked more than ready to go home), and Elena, who was with Wally

"Hola Alejandro! Have they been any trouble?" My dad said jokingly
Really dad? I'm probably the calmest one out of all my siblings
Alejandro chuckled, "no señor, of course not, they're no trouble at all"
"Good good" my dad said
As Alejandro and my dad kept talking, I could feel someone gaze
I looked from the corner of my eye, just to see Wally staring at me
The heck is he staring at me for? Did I do something wrong? Am I weird? Or does he know something that I don't?

Elena seemed to notice him staring at me, "hey Wally, I don't think you have my number...can I give it to you?" She asked
Wally stopped looking at me and looked at her, nodding "sure, I'd like to stay in contact with you" he said with a slight smile
As Elena wrote down her number, she kept looking at me from the corner of her eyes
It almost looked like a warning for me to back the fuck up

I shook off her gaze
"Well, I think it's getting pretty late. C'mon, get in the car" he said to me and my siblings
Mateo was the first one to get in, ready to go home and take the longest nap of his life
Wally kissed Elena's hand, "adios, agradecido de verte, Elena" he said
why does he sounded so attractive In Spanish?
Or maybe because Spanish genuinely sounds attractive

Elena smiled, she seemed to be a bit flustered "bye Wally, I'll see you on Friday" she said as she got in the back seat
Alejandro looked at me, smiling, "I'm glad that I got to spend this afternoon with you, y/n. Talk to me when you can, okay?"
I smiled "yeah, I will. I enjoyed your company"
He hugged me goodbye and let go
I went to the back seat next to Elena
I looked at my brother, who was in the passenger seat sleeping
I sighed
"I don't like Wally, he's all yours. You don't have to give me that look" I said

"What makes you say that?" She asked
Bullshit...
"Oh don't play stupid Elena, you know what look you gave me"
"Well, I might have a chance with Wally, so I'm gonna ask you for one thing, one favor" Elena said as she leaned closer to me

"Don't fuck it up"
