After three very intense weeks, the exams were over. The students didn't have to worry about anything anymore, they had done their best, and all they could do now was wait. And so they did. On day, Jungkook invited his soulmate on an afternoon date. He wanted to take her to a secret place in the forest.
It was a very romantic spot. The sounds of the humming forest filled her heart with joy. She could hear the birds singing on this beautiful hot summer day. An earthy scent mixed with wild herbs filled her nostrils, calming her down, making her feel peaceful. She hurried and took her shoes off so she could feel the soft grass on her skin. But the best part of this place was definitely the waterfall cascading into the lake. The pond was surrounded by big grey rocks, some were covered by branches and plants. The water was a soft shade of bright turquoise. It was clear, almost transparent, they could see small fish swimming around the lagoon.
The pined-scented forest somehow reminded her of Jungkook's scent. Sweet, yet fresh and comforting. She immediately ran into his arms and held him, she was so thankful for this moment. He stumbled a bit and smiled to her, gently kissed her head and caressed her waist. The two lovers placed a few blankets on the grass and took all of the food out of their bags and the cooler. Rice balls, fried chicken pieces, lettuce and tomato salad, pickled cucumber, muffins, cookies, brownies, fresh ginger-mint lemonade and much more. They knew they would never eat all of this food and that there would be a lot of leftovers.
The two students were relaxing together, getting to know each other better. Jungkook mentioned a couple of things he might have done wrong in a couple of exams, but that day, Y/N didn't want to talk about it. It was all about them, and no exams nor any of other university related topic could come in between them. She urged him to stop talking about this topic, and changed the subject to one she was eager to talk about : his family. « There's not a lot to say about my family, berry. » he replied. « I am the second son of three children. My older brother was born an alpha too, but his mate's pack needed an alpha, so he moved there. My little sister is living with her husband in our territory, and she found out she is pregnant. I will soon become an uncle ! » the young male laughed, he smiled, and to her, his smile was brighter than the sun. « I'm surprised she is having a baby at such a young age. » said the little sheep while eating a rice ball. After a soft chuckle, Jungkook spoke « Yeah, she was ready to raise one, so her mate could only oblige. He is whipped for my sister. »
They both giggled and kept eating, but a sudden thought appeared in the male's mind. « What about you, daydream ? Would you like us to have a baby ? » The sheep chocked on her food at this sudden question, making the wolf grin. He quickly gave her a cup of water and waited for her to calm down to proceed with the conversation. « I'm serious, berry. Just ask me anything, I will give you what you desire. » he said as he would push some strands of hair away from her face. She smiled shyly. « Look, kook, it's not in my plans to carry children anytime soon. » She explained. « I will definitely want some, but maybe later, like after our marriage. That is, if you want us to get married, of course. No pressure, kook. » Many couples didn't marry, as they were chosen by the Moon Goddess as soulmates, they didn't feel the need to get married. Despite always dreaming about marriage, she didn't know what her mate thought of this concept, and she didn't eat to pressure him into giving in. She would follow his wishes.
« Actually, I would love to make things official. I want to promise you love, trust and respect in front of our families. I want to wear a ring around my finger to remind me of the promisses made to one another. I want to see you in a white dress, dance with you, kiss you, share the first cake slice with you and do all of these silly things couple do on their wedding day.» he said. He held her hand close to his heart and poured his soul into his words, leaving the sheep's heart trembling of passion and joy. He took her hand to his lips and kissed it softly, then gently kissed her palm, her wrist, her forearms as she would softly giggle.
« What about your family, berry ? Would you be comfortable to share your story with me ? » he asked, eating a piece of fried chicken. Jungkook knew she had a rough past, she had mentioned it once or twice, and he didn't want to pressure her into opening herself to him, although he wanted to know more about her. At first, she was nervous to share her story with him, but she reminded herself that he was her mate. He would never judge her or hate her. He would never be grossed out by her. She felt the courage to talk to him about her sad past.
« I lived the very first 12 years of my life in Mozambique. It was not a good time to be alive, as a civil war occurred in the country. My parents worked for years just to save enough money to make us leave the country. We left shortly after my 12th birthday. » She took a small break in her monologue. The alpha stroked her arm as a sign she could take her time. « We left and came straight to Korea. I was so sad. When I first got here, I was made fun of because of my features, but also because of my accent, my hybrid species and my rank. To think that I was praised there for having curly hair and a beautiful skin tone, and here, I am bullied for these traits. I miss my family and friends. Some of them even died, I would never get to see them again. I wish I could just go back and see them, hug them, tell them all about my life and hear about theirs. »
As some teardrops made their way to her cheeks, her hands quickly wiped them away. She felt Jungkook's lips on her shoulders, no words were needed for her to understand she had his support. The young wolf felt sorry for his mate a hugged her tight. He laid a few more kisses on her face and eased her pain. After she calmed down, he gave her a glass of lemonade and promised to take her back to Mozambique. She smiled and kissed his cheeks, she felt peaceful in his arms.
They ate a bit more, and cracked some jokes here and there, making the once heavy atmosphere transform into a light one. Once they were done eating, she went to dip her feet in the water. She begged for her mate to come, and he agreed. How could he say no to his beautiful lover ? But first, he wanted to take a few photographs. He needed to save these moments forever. The young female ran into the water and played with it. The water was very refreshing on this hot summer day. Thank the Moon she decided to wear her short, yellow dress, it made it easier for her to stand the heat, but also to get into the water.
The wolf kept taking pictures of her, she was having so much fun. The young male took pictures of her smile, her sweet laugh, and even her beautiful curls as she would turn her back to him. He loved to hear her laugh. Her genuine smile eased his soul. But her sweet smile, her soft giggles awakened something strange in Jungkook's heart. It wasn't the first time he felt this way, but it had never been so intense. The alpha thought the heat was affecting him, and that he probably needed to stay away from the sun for a bit.
But the more he looked at his mate, the more he understood where it came from. It was her. She made these new sensations rise in him. Suddenly, his eyes were on her plump legs, her slim waist, her round belly, her soft breasts, her soft arm. How bad he wanted to kiss her beautiful neck and hear the most beautiful yet forbidden noises coming out of her mouth. He wanted her. He needed her, but would she give him her consent ? Would she let him touch her ? The only way for him to find out was to ask.
