(Y/n’s POV)

Driving down the sandy roads. I loaded my pistol with extra bullets I kept in the glovebox of Bumblebee. This was it. One of the craziest moments of my life. It's hard to believe that a few days ago, I was just a normal soldier. And now, I can be saving the world from possibly the worst threat to humanity. I looked between the seats as we drove towards Jordan. My eyes suddenly got a flare in the distance.

“Guys, that’s them! Up ahead!” I pointed to the flare. “Means we’re close.” I said. 

Suddenly shots were fired at us and we swerved around. Mikaela was pushed against me, and I was pushed against Leo. 

“Keep going, Bee!” I yelled as we continued to drive forward.

Leo took this time to start freaking out.
“Oh, God. Please-”

“Leo. Stop freaking out. Stop freaking out!” I yelled

We all started yelling at him to shut up until Simmons finally stepped in. 

“Alright, that’s it!” he leaned back and tased Leo in the neck, and he passed out. “Can’t take that guy anymore.” he mumbled

“For once, I agree.” I said. 

We drove towards a curve, dust accumulated behind us. Suddenly, Starscream flew in towards us and continued to shoot missiles at us. Dust blew around us, and we couldn’t see anything, which gave me an idea.
“Bee! Hide in the dust!” I yelled, to which he agreed. We seemed to have lost him for a short amount of time. Bee parked, and we stepped out.

“We've got to split up. Bumblebee, you're the decoy. You lead the Decepticons away, all right? I'm gonna get Optimus.” Sam said.

“Don’t think you’re going alone. I’ll help you get to Lennox.” I said.

“I'll help draw their fire with Huey and Dewey there. You get to those soldiers.” Simmons said. “I hope that dust works, kid.”

“Thank you.” Sam replied.

“And you.” Simmons looked at me and gave me a salute. “Good luck out there, soldier.” he said.

I nodded. “Thanks. You too.” he gave me his hand to shake, to which I took and shook sharply. Splitting up, I led Sam and Mikaela towards Jordan, where Lennox would be waiting for us and where Optimus is resting. We don’t have much time left, but i know that I’ll be able to get us there. My Army training has come in handy for a while and has helped us not get killed in the process. Just as we came up on a hill, I heard more flares fired. 

“Almost there, guys. Come on.” I said and pulled them down along the hill towards the small village. 

Out of breath, we kept going. My throat was dry, and my heart was going crazy. “Come on, guys. Just one more mile, and we’ll be there.” I looked around as we passed under a building. We ran through the pillars, whooshing was heard above us, which meant only one thing. Decepticons were here. We can’t let that stop us. Keep going, L/n. 

Hiding behind a building, I stopped and peeked over to see Starscream flying around on the look for us.

“Sam, Y/n.” Mikaela whispered. I looked over and saw she found a hiding spot in a building. Stepping in and finally catching my breath, I was able to sit down and finally rest. “Get down.” I whispered. I listened closely for anyone around us. Nobody… I sighed a breath of relief. “Alright, we should be clear for now. Not long, though.” I whispered. I looked over, and Sam held Mikaela’s shoulders, gesturing me to get closer.
