- small time skip -

"the hell do you have against monkeys?" charlie laughed out

"what?! they're so stupid and annoying why the hell would anyone like them" she laughed back

"oh god don't even get me started on my friends gibbon obsession" charlie said still laughing

"what?- why the hell would anyone like those" she almost sounded offended

"they are kinda silly" charlie stated

"no- i will forever hate them" melody shot back

"okay- okay- each to their own I guess, you have any other interests besides a strong hatred toward monkeys?" charlie asked smiling

"i mean I guess, i play bass-" melody began before being cut off

"really?! that's fuckin awesome. you just moved up 3 spaces on my tier list" charlie interrupted

"you have a tier list for people- that's so odd" she laughed

"im just very unique" he scoffed

"you remind me of monkeys" she spoke

"why?" he asked

"cause they're annoying" she said sarcastically

"you remind me of a horse" he bit back

"no, horses are mentally stable." she said palming her face at the end (I'm literally so funny guys like omg)

she looked up, charlie kinda just staring

"damn, i was just taken back by your comedic skills" he rest his head back against the door

"I'm pretty comedic if I do say so myself" melody laughed

they sat in a comfortable silence, both pretty tired. the muffled music downstairs and the sounds of drunk people were still heard. pretty good background noise to be honest

"how much longer do you think the party will last?" melody asked

"honestly I think everyone will probably crash here, i think it'll settle down in a good few hours" he replied

melody checked her phone

8:46pm

"wanna go for a ride?" she asked

"what, in a car?" he questioned

"no, my motorcycle" she smiled

"i mean sure, as long as you promise not to kill me" he smiled back

"no promises!" she smiled getting up and offering a hand to charlie to which he gladly took

they headed downstairs sneaking out the front door, there was way to many people to keep track of I don't even think anyone would realise if a random walked in.

she sat on the front seat giving charlie her motorcycle helmet

"hold on tight" she said before putting the keys in. he held on around her waist not wanting to die.

as they rode off she could hear charlies gasps

she laughed a little, he sounded like a little kid going on a plane for the first time

"your insane" he shouted over the motorcycle engine, picking at the fact she wasn't wearing a helmet

it was peak riding hour, the sun was setting and the sky was a mix of orange and pinks. almost like a watercolour painting

she never wanted to leave this moment

neither did he
