After two days, Roksoo managed to hitch a ride to Rain City with a group of traders who were visiting the area. He blended in with the workers and embarked on the journey to the city. The trip was long, so he spent most of the time sleeping. However, it seemed that some women in the group took an interest in his situation since he was only 17 years old and joined a work group at such a young age. They showed pity and sympathy, sharing food and supplies with him.

After three days, Roksoo finally reached Rain City. He met a kind old bakery granny named Sam who helped him secure a small place to stay and work. Then, he started utilizing the leftover bread and food from the bakery and went to visit the famous "man-eating tree." There, he encountered two kids – Ohn, a silver-haired girl around 9 years old with golden pupils, and Hong, a younger boy with reddish dark hair and similar eyes. They looked like siblings. They warned him to stay away from the tree, as it was considered dangerous and surrounded by rumors.

Despite the warnings, Roksoo kept visiting the tree, feeding it, and started spending time with Ohn and Hong. As days passed, they grew more comfortable with each other, and Roksoo learned more about them. Ohn was cautious and protective but curious, while Hong was mischievous yet affectionate. Both of them were too intelligent for their age. He shared food and medicine and formed a unique bond with Roksoo.

Eventually, Ohn and Hong began showing up in their kitten forms near the place Roksoo was staying. Roksoo, being observant, figured out their true identity as members of the Cat tribe. Despite their initial hesitations, Ohn and Hong found comfort in Roksoo's presence, and he became their guardian.

During his stay in Rain City, people warned Roksoo to avoid meeting Cale Henituse, the count's eldest son. Disturbing rumors about Cale circulated, but Roksoo didn't entirely believe them. Based on the novel he had read, Cale disliked troublemakers and dealt with them in a unique way by throwing bottles, which contradicted the negative image painted by others.

Deep down, Roksoo had a feeling that there was more to Cale than what people said. He had seen Cale from a distance and noticed that he was a handsome young man with reddish blood-colored hair but acted drunk and threw tantrums, his eyes revealed a sanity that couldn't be denied.

As time passed, Roksoo found himself getting involved in Rain City's affairs more than he had intended. He learned about the count's family and the dynamics of the city, forming bonds with its residents along the way. Most things aligned with what he had read in the novel, except for his encounter with Cale Henituse. Despite not having met Cale yet, Roksoo saw this as a positive sign, hoping it would keep him away from any other significant characters, such as Cage and Taylor.

Today, a young boy around 17 with jet black hair, which is not a common color, came into my shop, asking if he had any work he could take and a place to stay. I took one look at him and couldn't help but feel about the kid seeing his poor physique. I agreed to give him a chance and offered him a job and a room to stay. Little did I know that he would soon become such a blessing in my life.

This boy is something else, let me tell you. He's hardworking, always ready to lend a hand, and takes on almost all the work without even batting an eye. I find myself feeling a bit useless sometimes, given my age, but he doesn't mind at all and keeps helping me with a smile saying I am the one who needs rest because of my age.

Today day he bought in two adorable cats, caring for them like a loving mother.

Seeing him with those cats just melted my heart. It was such a tender sight to behold. He has a kindness about him that is rare to find these days.
