The server walked the pair to their table placing two menus down in front of them letting them know she would be back to take their order and asked if they would like a jug of ice water for table. Joe was starving after swimming so madison brought him to a small dinner she always came to with her grandfather
"are you not looking at the menu" Joe asked as he noticed madison hadn't looked at the menu in front of her while he was already on the other side
"no need I already know what I want" madison laughed
"I take it you come here often" joe said
"yeah whenever I'm in town the pancakes here are so good" Madison smiled
"I'm sold" Joe chuckled putting his menu on top of Madison's moving them to the side
"do you even like pancakes" Madison asked
"of course I do who doesn't like pancakes" Joe laughed
"what pancake topping is your favourite" Joe asked
"ooh probably whipped cream and chocolate chips what about you" madison smiled before asking him what his favourite was
"syrup" Joe answered
"now that's a surprise" Madison said
"how" Joe asked
"I seen you as a bacon on pancake kind of guy" Madison answered
"guess your not the only one full of surprises" Joe smiled
"are y'all ready to order" the waitress asked taking out her notepad after placing the jug of water onto the table
"yeah I will get the chocolate chip pancakes with whipped cream and a strawberry milkshake please" Madison smiled ordering what she wanted
"of course coming right up and what may I get you" the waitress smiled looking at Joe
"I will get the pancakes with syrup and a cup of coffee black please" Joe smiled ordering what he wanted from the menu
"of course I'll be back with your drinks" the waitress smiled walking away after grabbing the menus
"thank you" joe thanked the waitress who had already walked away
"and thank you madison" joe smiled bringing his attention to the girl infront of him
"for what" madison asked confused on why he was thanking her
"spending the day with me" Joe smiled
"the day isn't over yet joey" madison giggled
"yeah I know but thank you for agreeing to spend the day with me" Joe laughed awkwardly
"well your not the worse company to be around" Madison smiled
"strawberry milkshake and your coffee your pancakes will be out in a few minutes" the waitress smiled placing the drinks on the table
"thank you" Joe and Madison said at the same time the waitress smiled before walking away
"how is your milkshake" Joe asked taking a sip of his hot coffee
"so good" Madison smiled bringing the straw to her lips taking a sip of the sweet drink
"I've actually never had a strawberry milkshake before" Joe said
