the two were sat enjoying their meals Madison had ordered them both the ribs in a sweet honey barbecue glaze and fries as well as ordering another beer for Joe and a hard iced tea for herself

"these are the best ribs I've ever had" Joe said after swallowing his mouthful

"I know right the sauce is so good" Madison said before taking a sip of her drink

"I can't believe your eating your ribs with a fork" Joe chuckled shaking his head

"I'm being lady like I'm not going to be a slob on a" Madison said before stopping herself mid sentence was she about to say date she thought to herself it was clear that there was an attraction between the two

"you were about to say on a date" Joe smiled trying to remain calm so his cheeks didn't become the colour of a strawberry as he began teasing the girl infront of him

"no I wasn't" Madison shook her head turning it to the side so Joe didn't see her blush

"you definitely were" Joe smirked while internally screaming 

"a friend date" Madison joked laughing awkwardly stabbing a piece of meat with her fork

"just eat it with your fingers it's a sin to have ribs like this" joe laughed shaking his head

"your sure" Madison asked looking at the man in front of her

"yes only if you want but you don't need to worry about me judging you or thinking your not lady like" Joe said reassuring the girl

"it's much better isn't it" joe chuckled as madison picked up the rib with her fingers and started eating it

"yes" madison smiled

"I want you to be comfortable around me" joe smiled picking up a napkin wiping a bit of sauce that got on the girls nose

"thank you" madison smiled maintaining eye contact with Joe

"my ex would shame me if I ordered anything messy actually not even messy to be honest he would order for me everytime we went out" Madison said sadly

"order for you are you kidding me" Joe shook his head in disbelief

"nope it was always a salad with no dressing and a water" Madison sighed

"god that's not healthy" Joe frowned

"I was always starving" Madison said

"yeah I can imagine a salad with no source of protein god your not a bunny Jesus Christ" Joe said

"I felt like a bunny" Madison laughed

"Is this the guy who gave you that" joe asked pointing towards her ring

"yeah" Madison nodded

"what happened" Joe asked curiously

"your not going to give up until I tell you are you" Madison chuckled
