Aria Point of View
I walk with the king back inside and I see father coming toward us
"There you are leiling I was worried, you weren't in the chamber" he says and quickly hugs me
"I'm sorry Ada, I couldn't sleep" I told him and he turns to the king
"Apologies I thought Aria would like to see our gardens before dinner" he says and father nods
"Yes, of course......Come now we need to get ready for dinner. Thank you your grace" he says and Kili watches us leave and I turn back at him
"I look forward in hearing the tale about your friend Kili" I tell him smiling and I see a sadness in his eyes but he smiles
"Of course" he says and we head back to the chamber. Father helps me into a green dress
Aria? I wonder who she was? Did Ada know her and named me after her?
"What's on your mind leiling" Father asks and I get out of my mind
"Just thinking " I tell him and he chuckles and gets my shoes
"Seem to be doing that a lot lately......want to share?" He asks and I sigh
"Did you know there was an Elf named Aria?" I asked and he stops and look at me surprised
"Where did you hear that?" He asks almost worried
"Kili said that she was his friend, did you know her?" I asked and he sighs
"I did" he states and gets up and turns away from me
It must have been a great deal to lose her, seems like father knew her as well as Kili.
"Ada?" I ask and he turns back at he unsure on what to say next
"We should get going, wouldn't want to be late" he says and takes my hand and we walk toward the dining room. Gandalf meets us at the door
"Good evening" he says and looks at Father concerned
"Legolas?" He asks and Father looks at me
"Aria why dont you and Sworen find your seats, I need to have a quick word with Gandalf" he says and I nod and enter the dining room
Legolas Point of View
I lead Gandalf away from the dining room and into the library
"Legolas what is the matter" Gandalf asks and I sigh and turn away from him
"The king told Aria about her" I told him
"In what way." He questions
"As she was someone from our past, a tale if you will. This cannot go any further" I tell him and he sighs
"No harm has been done, if she hears the story it could help maybe even inspire her" he states and I scold
"I do not want her following the same path" I tell him
"Its not going to be like that. The more you delay the faster Sauron will take matters in his own hands and we will lose her forever. It's in her best interest to see her true self, only then will she be safe, only then will he not have power over her" he states
"But why her Gandalf, why is he so interested in her" I ask him
"I dont know, perhaps of her origin, she is from pure light and darkness has always been drawn to it , but also fears it. She maybe the hope we need to free our world from him" he says
"Shes just a child" I tell him and he puts a hand on my shoulder
"It will not be soon, have faith Legolas. Your strength is her strength. She will need you" he says and I hear Aria laughing and I smile
"We still have today" I tell him and we walk back into the dining room and I see the King make Aria laugh by telling her a tale when he single handedly fought a troll. Aria turns to me and I sit next to her smiling
"Apologies for being late" I tell the king and he shrugs
"No need Aria and I were just entertaining ourselves, weren't we" he says and Aria laughs
"He said that a troll was trying to decide how to prepare him and because it was having a hard time he was able to escape and kill it from behind" she says excitedly and I raise an eye brow
One dwarf against a troll, I dont think that is true but at least he made her laugh
Aria's Point of View
We enjoy the rest of dinner and I look at the Queen who smiles at me
"My father tells me you are from our kingdom?" I ask her and see looks at Father nodding
"Yes that's true, your father and I grew up together " she says and I gasp
"Really does that mean you knew Aria as well." I ask and Father chokes on his food
"Did I say something wrong?" I ask looking at all the worried faces
What is with this Aria that has everyone on edge
"Forgive me I meant no disrespect...........Excuse me" I say and quickly leave the room and start running
"Aria wait!" I hear Father but my legs have a mind of there own
Legolas Point of View
Now live done it
I walk back into the dining room and look at everyone else
"I'm sorry I cannot do this. Not this way" I tell them and Gandalf comes toward me
"Legolas....." he tries to tell me but I stop him
"No, I will deal with this, I'm her father and I will decide when the time is right, the world can burn first before any harm will come to her, she maybe a savior in your eyes but I will not have her sacrificed for the good of this world" I tell him and the King sighs
"I miss her more then anything but I will not bring pain to this child in order to have my friend back. Could we somehow delay the memories, give her more time to grow" he says and Gandalf looks quickly at him
"I agree with my husband, we are not even sure if Sauron is involved with this, you said yourself Gandalf we cannot rush it or she may hurt herself" Tauriel says and turns to me
"Your right she is your daughter, I will follow you as you did once for me" she says and I nod
"Thank you"
Aria's Point of View
I stop running and end up back in the garden. I look at the statue again and hug it
I wish I knew why you meant so much to everyone
"Aria?" I hear my father ask and I tear up looking back at him
"Who is she? Why does it bring sadness when her name is mentioned? I ask pleading for answers
"Its complicated its she was killed......and I" he tries to explain
"You loved her" I tell him and he goes quiet
"Yes but...." he puts words together
"Is she my mother? "
