As the two of them cosied up on the couch, sharing the warmth of the blankets and each other's presence, Suna's phone suddenly chimed with an incoming call
He glanced at the screen, his heart skipping a beat as he saw "Private Caller" displayed. A knot of apprehension formed in his stomach, suspecting that it might be the same person who had sent him the cryptic message earlier.
Excusing himself from Osamu, Suna made his way to a quieter room before answering the call
He took a deep breath before saying hello, his voice tinged with caution. The voice on the other end was deep and unfamiliar, sending a shiver down Suna's spine.
"I know who killed your father," the person said
Before Suna could demand answers, the voice cut him off, giving him a chilling ultimatum "You needed to be alone tomorrow at 8:00 pm if you wanted to learn the truth about your father's death, along with the evidence to support it"
Suna's mind raced, his heart pounding in his chest as he tried to comprehend the situation."What's going on?" Suna's voice trembled as he asked the question, his mind flooded with confusion and fear
But the person on the other end remained silent, ignoring Suna's inquiries and leaving him in a state of uncertainty
Before Suna could press further, the call abruptly ended, leaving him standing there, his thoughts swirling with a mix of emotions and unanswered questions
Suna returned to the living room where Osamu awaited him, concern etched on his face. "Suna, is everything okay?"
Suna managed a reassuring smile, though his mind was still grappling with the unsettling call. He slipped his phone back into his pocket and settled down beside Osamu. "Everything is fine, just one of my friends."
Osamu nodded, raising the blanket to invite Suna back into its warmth. Suna nestled in, allowing himself to be wrapped in Osamu's comforting embrace
The touch was reassuring, grounding him in the present moment. As Osamu pulled the blanket around them, Suna's thoughts flickered between the mysterious call and the soothing presence beside him
But despite his attempts to focus on Osamu, Suna's mind couldn't shake off the words that had been spoken to him—the promise of revelations about his father's death, the chilling demand for secrecy, and the uncertainty that now lingered in the air
As Osamu held him close, Suna's heart remained conflicted, torn between the warmth of love and the shadows of a truth he had yet to uncover.
