A haze of freedom, a fog of youth. the scent of rebellion and the wisp of danger all were present in the face of Yang Jeongin's party. dodging bullets of pain and heartbreak, teenagers and early adults were present. some were simply celebrating their adolescence and some were grieving it, dunking down gulps of alcohol and inhaling smokes of lunatizing substances, wasting away the time they could use to become a person they'd admire. amidst the chaos Lee Felix found himself staring at his screen with a frown on his face, Previously, he had been having fun with his friends; dancing and sharing a drink or two, gossiping and losing their minds

but now, he was rather complexed, torn between the choices of doing what is right and going for wrong. though it's obvious which one he should pick Felix still can't help but contemplate, there's a tug in the middle of his chest and he feels it pulling him toward the man who had called him and is now sending him the address to his new place and Felix doesn't even want to give him the benefit of doubt but he can't stop himself from imagining the way Hyunjin's voice would sound if he answered this call and the way his face would look if he just showed up at his new place

his heart feels heavy when he looks around and finds his friends dancing to a sick beat while he is standing here weighing the trajectory of his life, he watches them have fun until their words ring back in his mind like bells of warning and it leads him to think 'I should probably not' he wonders to himself, chewing on his bottom lip as he exhales a deep breath to figure his thoughts out.

'seeing you tonight' Felix stares at his screen, watching the phone ring and ring while it displays Hyunjin's ID picture making his heart race 'It's a bad idea, right?' he tries assuring himself, telling him not to parade through the graveyard Hyunjin has buried their love in. the call ends and Felix finds himself a little disappointed however it doesn't last long as Hyunjin is back to blowing up his phone. his face on the screen returns and something in Felix's heart switches, changing into a different version of him that he always was when Hyunjin was present, the one that was not shy or timid but bold and fearless

he tries to push that alter ego of his down and keep himself as superficial as he can. Still, he fails when his thoughts blank out at the sight of Hyunjin's face and all he can think now is;

'fuck it, it's fine'
