"What do you wanna watch tonight babe?" I ask Arthur.

"Anything you want love," He says smiling at me. I smile back and turn on a random movie I see on netlfix.

I live in San Francisco now. I'm a world class general surgeon. Best in the country, Arthur is trauma surgeon.We met at the hospital, we shared a patient. We started talking and found out we actually have a lot in common!

Arthur and I have been dating for 3 months now. I still talk to Jimena and Sophia they're still my best friends. Just because I don't talk to Tom anymore doesn't mean I can't talk to them.

I never asked them about Tom so they never brought it up. It was a sensitive topic and they knew that and respected it. Speaking of Jimena and Sophia, they're calling me right now.

"Hang on Arthur I gotta take this." I say walking towards my room, I and answer the phone.

"Hey!" Sophia and Jimena say in unison.

"Hey guys! What's up?"

"Jimena and I are having a double wedding in germany!" Would you be our bridesmaid? Sophia says.

I gasp "Of course I will! Just send me the details and i'll be on the next flight over."

"Yeah! But here's the thing.. Tom is obviously gonna be there" Jimena says into the phone

"It's fine, i'll just ignore him." I say back. Even though it's been two years i'm still not ready to talk to him.

"Yeah!" Sophia says in an uncertain voice. "What's wrong?" I ask Sophia.

"It's nothing, I just think you should talk to him." Sophia says "Yeah, he's really different.." Jimena says following up.

"What do you mean different." I ask confused.

"You'll see." Jimena says. "Come on girls, it's time to go" I hear Bill say

"Hi Bill!" I say into the phone. I hear footsteps go near the phone.

"Oh my god! Hi Aurora how have you been doing!" Bill says into the phone

"Good! What about you?" I say smiling.

"Open the facetime thing, it's a new feature that was added. I wanna see what you look like now!" Bill says giggling into to the phone.

I open up the camera, "You like what you see?" I ask them smiling.

"You dyed ur hair black!" Bill says smiling.

"Yeah, I was getting sick of the brown and you dyed ur hair blonde!" Bill smiles and nods.

"For fucks sake hurry up! We're gonna miss our flight." I hear a familiar voice say to Bill. I know exactly who it is, Bill looks back to him then to me. I stay silent

I see his head peak into the phone "Who the hell are you talking to-" His eyes widen slightly when he sees me. His hair is no longer in braids, he has long brown hair which is thrown into a bun and slicked back. He's been growing out his beard. Holy fuck he looks good.

"I gotta go im busy, I have to clean the house. Bye now!" I say nervously and end the call. I take in a deep breath and walk back to Arthur.

TOM'S POV

Our flight is in an hour and these people aren't even ready yet! I open the door and I notice Bill talking to someone. "Who the hell are you talking to?" I ask while peeking at the phone, it's Aurora. Her brown hair is now black, she looks the exact same she hasn't aged a bit. I'm about to open my mouth to say something, before I could say hi she makes up some bullshit excuse and ends the phone.

I still love her. I love her so much to the point where it pains me, to see her just hang up the call right when she sees me just makes me wanna fucking scream.

I clear my throat, "come on let's go." My voice cracking the slightest bit. Bill notices and pulls me into a hug.

"It's fine, it's my fault." I say hugging him back. Fucking voice stop fucking cracking. I sigh and pull away

"Come on let's go." I say slightly smiling at Bill and walking away pulling our suitcases down to the car.

AURORA'S POV

I walk back to Arthur and give him a smile. "You okay? You were in there for a while." He asks me.

"Yeah fine, i'm attending a double wedding in Germany!" I say smiling.

"Won't Tom be there?" He asks looking back at me.

"I mean yeah but it's my best friends weddings." I say scoffing a bit.

"I'm sorry, it's just this guy seems like bad news. I don't want you to get hurt again."  He says looking at me.

"Yeah, yeah sure let's just watch the movie". I say rolling my eyes. How could he call Tom bad news if he's never even met the guy.

I cant decide if I should completely ignore Tom and hate him. My love for him is so strong, I don't love Arthur. Maybe that's cruel but it's the truth, sometimes the truth hurts.

Arthur helped me with a lot of stuff though, he was my best friend for two years before we even started dating. I just need a friend not a boyfriend, but i'm not leaving him. He's so sweet and gentle, he's a good guy truly. He would never lay a hand on me but that's also what I miss about Tom. I miss Tom and I's spark, that is something Arthur and I would never have.
