"Car Crash"
I shoot the gun and both cars fly off the road into the ditch.
Our car tips over and me and Ime hang from the front seats because of our seatbelts.
Ime coughs from the smoke. "You alright?"
I cough too. "No."
We both unbuckle our seatbelts and crawl out of the car.
We walk away from the crushed car.
"So, still think I'm going to prison?"
Ime bends over to catch his breath. "Of course not. This was self-defense."
I sit down in the grass and stare at the trees.
"Are we going to catch an Uber?"
"If our phones aren't broken."
We both reach into our pockets and pull out shattered phones.
Just our luck.
I throw my phone into the forest. "iPhone sucks."
Personal opinion.
Ime puts his back in his pockets.
"Where are we headed?" I said.
Ime points north. "That way."
I sigh. "Walking sucks."
"No other choice."
I jump at the sound of a car door opening and turn to see Eris coming out of her destroyed car.
"Crap, she's alive," I said.
I reach out my hand signaling Ime to hand me his pistol again and he does.
I walk up to Eris before she can get out of the car.
"Didn't think I'll shoot ya," I said pointing the gun at her.
Eris spits out blood. "Fuck you."
She gets out of the car and I hold her at gunpoint.
"None of this would've happened if you didn't screw with him," she said pointing at me.
I groan. "None of this would've happened if you weren't an obsessive bitch."
She laughs.
This girl is crazy. Ime slept with someone like this willing?
She holds her arms out. "What are you going to do? Shoot me?"
I sigh. "No, I'm gonna make ya walk."
She tilts her head.
"Get going," I said flicking the gun north.
She buffs her chest, refusing to listen to me.
"We're gonna turn you in, come on," Ime said.
Her image softens. "Really?"
Ime walks up to her. "I promise to visit if you let us do what's right."
She takes a second to ponder.
She moans. "Arrest me, Daddy."
Ime chuckles. "Okay."
Ime turns her around north and walks her by her arm.
"Wait for me," I said walking after them.
I can't believe I almost killed someone today.
"You know, Eris, maybe after you serve your time, we can probably be friends," I said.
She glares at me. "I hate you!"
I laugh. "I wish I could relate."
Despite all this, I can't bring myself to hate her. I despise the incompetent but someone jealous of me...
I can't help but feel unconcerned for them.
