Macy absolutely had no problems with Odette organizing their symbolic wedding. Why would she? So what if she had had an impossible-to-remember, not-a-big-deal affair with the villain back in the day? She had been sent here per Lisa Blanchard's malicious orders, yes. If you thought about it, that was just an attempt to make their ultimate quest harder, and funnier. It was something told in the podcast to add some spice!

However, calling Foxy ugly?

That was unforgivable, really.

Still, apparently, it was 'bad luck' for a bride to fire the wedding planner. Gods knew and the villain knew why, he had told her so Macy didn't take her chance with it, just sat on the corner and watched her ridiculous husband deal with it. Unfortunately, Gerard had no patience for 'But Gerard, I don't understand—' and 'I know this isn't ideal, but I've been putting personal feelings aside', especially when it came to the person who perfectly understood a situation with no personal feelings involved to put aside.

"I know you are working with my aunt, and I know you are searching for this," the villain blew up their cover, holding the silver key up for dramatic effect. Cocking an eyebrow at the shock on Odette's face, he bargained, "Keep this between us and leave. I'll make sure you and your company will get away with it as long as you aren't in my way."

Money bought a lot, but not loyalty. Just as Ezra had run away from the agency the moment he'd seen the never-ending zeros next to one on the check, Odette welcomed the offer with a gracious smile, knowing it was the best she could get.

Whatever. Macy's original plan was better. What was wrong with tying her to a chair and calling the cops only to frame Eric Blanchard?

Anyway, now, with the wedding party only a few hours away, she couldn't exactly theorize how funny that act would be. No, she had other problems.

"Your mom and dad-number-two have arrived and are at the reception," Adelaide informed her flatly about Diane and Matthias, not taking her eyes off the tablet as she paced in the room that they were using as a bridal suite. "As for Agatha and Carl Jenkins, Gerard's security told me that she was stuck in traffic but extremely chatty."

They were probably having a much better time than Macy could have ever had today.

"What about," Macy hesitated behind the light-wood vintage divider, her fingers halting on the straps of her gown, "my dad?"

"Not here yet," Adelaide replied, humming a skeptical sound. "I mean, he has to come, right? Even if he still doesn't approve of your relationship, he's working with the Blanchards now."

And Macy still had no idea if it was for temporary or not... or which one she'd prefer.

A part of her, perhaps a part that could have been considered naïve by her father, still hoped that he wouldn't stop trying to make it up to her, that he'd try to fix their relationship and owe his mistakes. Yet a logical part that she hated knew that was wishful thinking. Jeff Wallace was a man of fast results and winning with the minimum effort possible. He'd try once, twice, never thrice.

However, today was hardly about him.

"Do you need help there?" Adelaide suggested, misreading the silence as her hard time with the gown. "I can go and see if Cameron is—"

"No," Macy breathed out, snapping out of the vexing daze and running her hands over the tulle skirt. "Don't separate him from Eloise. We might need to postpone the party if she fails to find anything to wear. I just want to get over with it."

Adelaide chuckled at her misery. "That's the spirit, Mildred," she said although it left her lips like an amused question. Her footsteps got distant as she added, "I should probably go and check the band, and while doing that, I'll also need to make sure Gerard doesn't get drastic and talk with Lisa behind your back. Also, I should somehow ensure Eric," she paused, and Macy could perfectly imagine the grimace she was making as she read the tablet, "accidentally gets the seat with reality-show-people?"
