𝐆𝐞𝐞𝐤'𝐬 𝐅𝐢𝐜 𝐑𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: T for "That's Not For the Faint of Heart, Bestie" (Mentions of death and murder, yandere and obsessive tendencies, slight blood (1/5 on the GGS), fourth wall breaks, general disturbing content, possession/spirit inhabiting body, fourth wall break, and foul language. 𝐒𝐲𝐧𝐨𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐬; Y/N buys a copy of Billie Bust Up, plays it, and when they get to the Barnaby level, they notice the ghost owl breaks the 4th wall, quite frequently. Eventually, something happens. Will Y/N survive? (got this idea by the canonical fact that Barnaby can manipulate reality, travel through universes, and can break the 4th wall/is aware of the player's existence.)

𝐘/𝐍'𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐕:

Today's the day! Today's the big day! It's the day the game finally comes out! Spring of 2024, Billie Bust Up came out! I was waiting ever since I heard about it back in Winter of 2022! I didn't wait, I got dressed in a swift manner, put on my F/C coat, and sprint to my local game store to buy a copy for my console/PC (whatever you play on) and play it. The box art for the game was amazing, showcasing the three protagonists; Billie the Goat, Oscar the Fox, and Aristotle the Axolotl. I couldn't help but jump for joy at the sight of this game, my brain felt fireworks going off in my head. Oh, the joyous, enlightening and bright wonder of buying a new video game makes me warm inside. I didn't even wait! The minuet I got home I opened the game into my PC/console, and I boot it up. I even started playing it, humming to the songs and all of that stuff!

Soon, I was near a spooky mansion level. Hey, I know this level, I've seen people play the pre-alpha demos! Hell, I've even played some of the pre-alpha demos myself! This is Barnaby's level! I couldn't help but tap my feet in a rapid, excited manner and giggle with pure, uncut joy. I felt like a little kid in a candy store at how amazing this game was. Everything was a sight for starry eyes! The level looked amazing, the designs and colors simply popped right out at me! The music swayed and spun, and it was a very fitting, spooky atmosphere. I used the controller to move Billie around, watching her fox Oscar follow. Soon, she was in the manor, and the cut scene between her and Barnaby played.

"Trying to steal my stuff, are we? Well that's not very nice! With manners like that I should just kick you out! You're unfashionably early anyway! The party hasn't even started yet-"

Barnaby was quickly interrupted by Billie, who seemed rather annoyed.

"Party? I'm not here for a party! I'm here for the gem!"

Oh my goodness, Barnaby was already my favourite. I said that to myself as I giggled. "Ah?" I heard him ask. When I looked at the screen... He was looking at me, but for only a split second. Odd. He continued on, as he looked at Billie, "Wait a minute, wait a minute... Well well, you're ALIVE! You're not dead at all! You're all flesh and bone and, hoo, HOOHOOHOO! Flesh, bone, and- Hmm..." as he said 'hmm', I could have sworn I saw him glance at me! And he grinned a bit, a warm sunny smile flashing on that face of his! I kept watching the cut scene go on. It would be like before, but I swear, sometimes Barnaby looks at me and he smiles. Like a genuine, loving smile. Not one of ill intent, but a sweet one.

Trial. And. Error. I had played through the damn chase for a good few tries, and I kept dying. I would get mad, but end up laughing and trying again. I'm not a sore loser. Well, most of the time I'm not. I do have my moments of being a sore loser. Maybe I was unfocused. Maybe the music was too catchy, or the level spinning mechanic messed me up. Maybe I needed an energy drink. I kept playing through, my fingers pressing the buttons/keys and keeping my eyes peeled. But, right near the end, I died again! This is bullshit! I almost threw my keyboard/controller across the room, but I heard Barnaby speak again. "Hoohoohoohoohoohoo! Maybe you need to take a break, darling!"
