the squishy cheeks huddled on command,
as the lips grew broader and revealed a pair
of bright, pearl-like teeth.
the jaw deformations worked to create two tiny puddles,
either of them adding a supplementary beauty.
suddenly i realized, i stepped on the quicksand.
she has begun to consume me.
