Created From Emotion

Duusu was hovering in front of Marinette, rather calm what was in some way almost disturbing, considering her usual hyperactivity, and listened to what the young guardian told her.

After the girl had finished, the peacock kwami soared a big circle around her and the other teenagers, being Adrien, Felix and Kagami. After doing that with a pensive expression for another three times, she stopped and sighed deeply, then began to speak.

"To be honest, I don't know, if that's possible. A sentimonster is created from emotions, and though it can become whatever you want it to be, I never heard of preserving a person's spirit inside of one. Maybe there is something about it in the grimoire? I can't read it, just like the other kwamis, but I know, that Miss Nathalie can. Why don't you ask her?"

Marinette sighed as she explained.

"Well, I will ask Nathalie for her help as soon as I found out if there's even the slightest chance for it to work out. Right now, I don't wont to get her all worked up for maybe nothing. She urgently needs to rest."

Duusu frowned.

"I thought Miss Nathalie has been healed by Mister Gabriel's wish. What happened, that she needs to rest again?"

Adrien now smiled at the little bird and said calmingly.

"Relax, Duusu. She's not sick, but she's having a baby and that's why she must be a little more careful. You've known her for some time, I'm sure you have seen her overdo it for several times."

The peacock's mouth fell open. Then she began to smile and excitedly whirled through the room, squealing,

"Oh what wonderful news! After all the time she was suffering and desperately longing for someone to love her, she will have a tiny human to give all her love to. How amazing! Who's the father? Is it Mister Gabriel?"

Laughing the teenagers watched the kwami swirl through the air. It was Adrien who told the floating creature.

"Yes, Duusu, he is the father. So I will have a little brother or sister soon. And we all think it's great too. But that's another reason, why we need to solve the issue with my dad's, spirit you said? Is that the right term for what was left here with us?"

Duusu shrugged.

"I am not sure, but that's what I call it. Well, who would be creating the sentimonster then?"

"I told you to not use the word monster, Duusu. Did you forget again?" Felix scolded her.

The little peacock frowned.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it in a bad way!" She whined.

Kagami held out her hand.

"We know that. It just, it still hurts, being called a monster, when all you want to be is a normal human, as you were supposed to become. Do you understand?" She explained calmly.

The little bird nodded. Then she closed her eyes and just hovered in mid-air for a moment.

"I want to speak with Miss Nathalie on my own, if that's alright with all of you. Maybe we can find a solution together."

"Only if you promise me to not get her all worked up again. We had to make her promise to take some time to rest in her bed. Otherwise she would have kept reading in this stupid grimoire, that tells us nothing about anything!" Marinette lamented.

Duusu immediately agreed.

"Of course not!" She looked pleadingly at Felix.

The teenager sighed and nodded.

"Fine, just go. But don't stay too long and remember to not stress Nathalie, yeah?"

The kwami frowned.

"I am not stupid, you know. Just a little, well, distracted sometimes." She reprimanded her holder.

Felix grinned sheepishly at her.

"I know that. But 'because' of you getting so easily distracted, I reminded you of it. I didn't mean to insult you!"

The tiny peacock beamed at him after saying that. Then she flew right beside his face and pecked his cheek, before soaring directly through the wall that parted Adrien's room from Nathalie's own bathroom.

The pregnant woman was just coming out of her bathroom and about to go back to her bed, when she saw something blue out of the corner of her eye. Startled she pivoted, then gasped.

"Duusu! What are you doing here? Is everything alright with Felix?" Nathalie asked anxiously.

The kwami nodded with a beaming smile, gazing her up and down, while shivering in anticipation. The young woman narrowed her eyes.

"What's going on, Duusu? You're even more agitated than usually. So just tell me, what's up!"

She was just about to blurt out, what was in her mind, when she recalled Felix' words and shook her head.

"Before I tell you anything, I must insist that you lie back down. I promised to not get you all worked up!"

Nathalie chuckled at her words. But to not irritate the kwami even more, she did as she had been told.

"I'm in my bed, see? Now spill!"

Duusu floated closer, whispering.

"I need to ask something before we can talk about everything!"

Smirking, her former holder agreed.

"What do you want to ask, Duusu? And if you don't mind, come a little closer, I've missed you a lot. I want a kiss on each cheek at the very least!" She added laughing.

The little bird squealed enthusiastically and faster than a ray of light a blue, blurry mass shot towards her and snuggled into the crook of her neck.

Nathalie giggled from the sensation.

"Stop that, you're tickling me! I still want those kisses!"

After what seemed like a thousand pecks all over her face, the young woman eventually could get the peacock to talk calmly again.

"Now tell me, Duusu, what got you so overly excited? And why are you here at all. I can tell, it has something to do with..." She swallowed heavily. "...with G-Gabriel and his... "

She broke of, choking on her sob, tears brimming her eyes.

The kwami of emotions instantly changed her mood with hers.

"Please, Miss Nathalie, don't be sad. I think we can save him. But I still have something to ask you first. Can I please lie on your belly for a while and try to feel or hear the baby?"

Nathalie stared at her wide eyed for a moment then laughed.

"That's why you weren't supposed to get me all worked up, right? They told you about me being pregnant. But it's too early to feel anything, not even I can so far."

The kwami shook her head and explained.

"I am able to hear the heartbeat and if the baby already has any emotions, I can feel them. Not in a physical way, but, well you know!"
