Back at the Crystal Gems' temple, Lapis settled in with the group, still cautious but willing to give their offer of support a chance. The days that followed were filled with conversations, sharing stories, and learning from one another.

Lapis: (Curious) So, you've seen wars too, huh?

Lapis: (Somber) War... it leaves so much pain behind.

Amuro: (Softly) It does. But I've also learned that even in the darkest times, there can be hope and compassion. That's what I've found here with the Crystal Gems, and I believe it's possible for you too.

Lapis: (Looking down) It's hard to believe in hope after everything I've been through.

Amuro: (Encouragingly) I understand, Lapis. It takes time to heal, but you don't have to do it alone. We're here for you.

As Lapis spent more time with the Crystal Gems and Amuro, she began to open up about her past and her connection to Homeworld. The Gems, in turn, shared their experiences, both the joyful and the painful, fostering a deep sense of camaraderie and understanding.

One day, the group gathered on the beach to watch the sunrise. Amuro, Lapis, Pearl, Garnet, and Amethyst stood side by side, feeling a sense of unity that was stronger than ever before.

Lapis: (Gazing at the horizon) It's beautiful...

Pearl: (Smiling) Yes, there's something magical about seeing the sunrise with friends.

Garnet: (Squeezing Lapis' shoulder) You're part of this family now, Lapis.

Amethyst: (Excited) Yeah, welcome to the gang!

Lapis: (Touched) Thank you... for accepting me, despite everything.

Amuro: (Grinning) You're part of our team now. We're in this together.

As the sun bathed them in warm light, the group felt a newfound sense of hope and belonging. They knew that their journey as a team had just begun, but they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.

In the following weeks, Amuro, Lapis, and the Crystal Gems continued to grow closer, facing new adventures and threats together. Amuro's presence had brought a unique perspective to the group, and his experiences from the Universal Century served as a source of inspiration and wisdom.
