Lucius was amazed at how calm and collected he was as he stood before Don Enzo, the owner of the club he worked in and the boss of the Russo family, arguably the biggest gang in east Tranta.

Kim, who introduced and vouched for him, stood on his side, visibly tensed and anxious.

The night before, Lucius invited Kim to his home, where she was introduced to Anton. Afterward, Lucius made a proposal for a job. Kim hesitated at first, not sure if it was a good idea to introduce Lucius to her boss, but after Lucius eventually decided to tell her everything, including his life in Eternia, how they were treating Dorian, and what Antor government was doing to the slaves in Eternia, she was enraged beside herself and decided to help him.

"So I heard you are the famous vampire bride."Don Enzo, a big, burly man in his fifties, studied Lucius with hawk-like eyes.

"Yes, I am," Lucius said. He removed the dark wig and roughly rubbed the concealer off from the slave brand on his neck. Low murmurs rang in the cigar smoke-filled room as everyone stared at the slave mark sticking to a person who looked exactly like the High Priest, the holiest man in the human world. The contrast was uncanny.

"Fascinating! We have been having a star among us this whole time!" Don Enzo exclaimed amusingly, "How come none of you idiots noticed the similarities?!"

The other small bosses in the room avoided his accusing gaze. Some of them mumbled some excuses, but the Don was not interested in hearing them.

"So, Kim here mentioned you have a proposal?"

"I do." Lucius said calmly, "May I ask, what's the most profitable job your crew has done so far?"

Don Enzo chuckled, "Is this a figurative question or what?"

"Just humor me." Lucius shrugged, "You've searched me before I entered. I'm not bugged."

Enzo scrutinized him for a long moment and shifted his poster on the couch, and then he glanced at his second hand languidly, "So which job would we rate as the most profitable, Tom? Shall we say Bank of Tranta?"

Tom agreed, "We pretty much emptied their treasure vault that time."

"Well, not bad, but it is not the richest place in the world," Lucius said nonchalantly.

Enzo chortled, "Then where that place might be?"

"The Celestine Palace, obviously." Lucius quickly observed other bosses' expressions as he spoke, "No other business in the world is more profitable than religion. Over centuries, the Churches have amassed an unimaginable amount of wealth and treasure, and they were all locked in the Vault of Devotion in Celestine Palace. However, no one dared to dream of it, because of how impregnable the security of that place is. Not even all the Archpriests have access to it."

"You are not suggesting we rob the Churches, are you?" Tom said in a jeering tone.

"That is exactly what I'm suggesting."

"It can't be done!" Another person exclaimed, "No one could breach the Celestine Palace! If we try that, the Churches will be on us, and we are all fucked!"

"They couldn't breach it because they didn't have a High Priest to open the doors for them." Lucius slightly tilted his chin up and said coolly.

"And why the hell would the High Priest do that?"Tom asked.

Lucius perked his lip corners subtly, and cold darkness pervaded the depth of his eyes, "Because I will become the High Priest after tonight, and I'm more than happy to give you a special blessing that will make you all very, very rich, as long as you work with me."
