For anyone wondering, I had to delete this chapter and republish it. The last part of the chapter was missing!

On Saturday evening, Ana, Joel and Sarah sat at the table in the kitchen and ate dinner.

"I know you're old enough. But please take good care of each other, okay?" Joel asked them.

"Yes Dad" Sarah replied with a groan, "We're not going out alone. Our friends are there too. So don't worry, okay?" she added.

Joel nodded and looked back to the plate in front of him.

"By the way, you asked me to clean up the attic. And you'll never guess what I found there," Sarah said with a chuckle.

Joel looked up at his daughter curiously, "What did you find?"

"My bibs," Sarah said and pouted slightly.

"Really? You have to show me. Don't throw them away, okay? They're a nice memory."

"There's no way I'm throwing them away, they're so cute. I'll keep these for my own children."

"Please don't tell me you're pregnant" Joel replied shocked.

"What? No, don't worry. I'm talking about my future babies" Sarah told her father and he sighed relived.

"Your future babies?" he asked back with a chuckle.

"Yeah, I want to have lots of children. five or so," Sarah explained with a smirk.

"Five? Girl that's a lot," Ana said with a grin.

"Okay yeah you're right. Then maybe like three."

"Three kids is still a lot of work, Sarah," Joel said with a small smile. Of course he wanted grandchildren someday. But not that soon. And especially not five.

"How do you know that, Dad? You only have me"

"Yes and raising you was tiring enough" he replied with a cheeky grin.

"Don't say that, I was a good child. And actually I've always wanted siblings, you know?"

Joel raised his eyebrow, "I only ever wanted one kid. And you know that. We talked about that when you were little. I'm 45 Sarah, I'm not having another baby"

Ana stared at her plate and picked at the food while Joel and Sarah talked. It wasn't a surprise to her to hear that Joel didn't want any more children. But somehow it still bothered her. She hadn't thought of that at all.

"Yeah I know" Sarah replied, "I was just joking. But you'll help me with my kids someday, right?" she added.

"Of course"

Sarah nodded, "And Ana, we absolutely have to make sure that our kids become friends"

Ana just nodded and then noticed that Joel was staring at her. "You want to have children too?" he asked her.

"Yeah," she mumbled and saw Joel sigh slightly.

And from second to second Ana began to have more doubts. Maybe that was a stupid idea. Being with Joel could never work out. Even if Sarah finds out and might forgive them one day, Ana wouldn't be able to live her life the way she wanted.

She always wanted a baby. She thought she'd find the right partner eventually, but now there's Joel. And she loves being with him.

But maybe the age difference is just too big. He doesn't want any more children. And she can't blame him for that, after all he's 45.
