AUTHORS NOTE
My people 😭😭😭😭. I am so sorry for not posting for more than a month. The truth is I was considering stopping the book for a long time since I didn't know what to write about anymore. I was about to unpublish when I decided to calm down a little and I went back to reading other people's work and still nothing came until one midnight when everything started coming and I started writing and I made this chapter 😊. I went through some really hard writer's block moment y'all and it'll take sometime to recover but I will try my best, off course I didn't get over it alone I got help from some people two In particular. Dedun_Herself for her words of wisdom and Aimawrites my gee 😭 she loves me but won't admit it. She gave me my first dedication that's why I want to return the blessing and dedicate this chapter to her also.
Like, enjoy, and be blessed.
By the power vested in me as the writer I declare this chapter open🤭❤️

"I can't believe the girls just finished the book. I even forgot we were still doing that. Who reads a book for months? I've read like 5 and they're still on that book, talk about having lazy bookclub members" I say to Imani on the phone.

We have a bookclub meeting today, we've been having sessions but all we did was read the book, Imani and I spent most of our time in the Library since we were done with the book and all. But really who reads a single book for like 2 and the half months? Well today we're closing up discussion on the book, I think they're all done reading and making their notes and stuffs, so we end the book today and Tori will announce the new one we are to start reading.

I hope it's better than The Bookclub, I am not reading a boring book for three months again. Three months? Wow so much has happened in those three months my life has been through a whirl pool those three month. I met Peter March, we're in the month of may and we're no longer an item... Talk about long lasting relationships.

"Trina? Let me guess you've zoned out again". Imani says and I snap out of my zone muttering a quick apology. Forgot I was on the phone with Imani, how can I forget I've been on the phone with someone for an hour or has it been two already?.

"Shouldn't you be getting ready to meet? I hear today's meeting is going to be earlier than usual this time since we have a lot to discuss about". Imani says and I mentally thank the gods and Tori for setting up an early meeting. I low-key want to get off the phone, my ear needs to breath please.

"Yeah yeah. Waiting for you to hang up though, I shouldn't choose hanging up a 2 hour long phone call with you over showing up in public Dirty and smelly now should I?". I ask sarcasm dripping out of every single word.

"Okay, okay. Go get ready for the bookclub so you can have more of me". He says and I can imagine him giving himself a full body parade.

"Ouuuu. I can't wait for that, I'm practically itching all over for your presence ". I say. Sarcasm once again.

"Your sarcasm this morning seems quite a lot. Care to tell me why I'm today's target?" He asks

"Nothing. I just woke up feeling sarcastic, it happens once in a while, don't take it personal. Sorry if It didn't hit well, I didn't mean for it to sound... disrespectful? Or whatever ".

"Nah nah. It didn't hit don't worry. I kind of like sarcastic Trina. I feel I'm still the reason you haven't hung up yet, I'll hang up so you can go get ready. I can't have you showing up in public looking like a rag doll". Imani says hanging up and I can hear my ear take in a lot of breathes.

Okay now to fix the sarcasm problem, is it a problem? It doesn't seem too much though. I just have to reduce it and make it into a healthy joke type of sarcasm.
I have an hour before Imani comes to pick me up, it's a long distance but he wouldn't take no for an answer and besides Who am I to refuse a free ride offer from a really really good looking boy? At least today's off to a good start, I see bright moments ahead.
