third pov :: baek eunju

Baek Eunju couldn't believe it. She would've never expected herself to be in this situation right now. She would've never expected to be sat around her family dinner table with her two sisters and Park Sunghoon while her mother cooked dinner, but here she was.

She was sat beside Sunghoon while her fifteen year old sister, Iseul sat silently on her phone opposite her, and her youngest sister sat questioning Sunghoon.

"Why are you here?" The four year old wondered as she leaned her head in her hand to look up at the boy with curiosity in her round eyes.

Sunghoon couldn't help but chuckle slightly as he glanced over at Eunju, who was sending Chaeyoung warning daggers with her eyes.

"Your mummy invited me." He explained and Chaeyoung nodded with a wide grin on her small face.

"Who are you?"

"Chaeyoung," Eunju warned. "Don't be so rude to the guest, remember?"

"It's okay," Sunghoon brushed the matter off with a shrug and leaned down towards the toddle, who looked eager for the boys answer. "I'm Eunju's boyfriend."

The house erupted in gasps. Iseul had dropped her phone, cutlery was heard dropping to the floor in the kitchen, and Eunju slapped her hand over her mouth.

"What?" Iseul creased her brows in confusion. "Eunju has a boyfriend?"

By now, Eunju's mother had joined the four in the dining room to interrogate her daughter and her daughters... Boyfriend.

"Since when?"

"Are you both in love?"

"Have you gone on a date?"

"Have you kissed?"

"Will you be getting married?"

"Mum, Iseul," Eunju huffed out. "Stop being so nosy." She warned and heard Sunghoon muster his chuckling beside her.

"Can I show you my favorite dolls?" Chaeyoung asked, grabbing Sunghoon's hand once he nodded his head and lead him to her bedroom.

A sigh of relief passed Eunju's lips as she sat back in the wooden chair. She was thankful he was gone for the moment, and Eunju could have time to process everything that had happened that day.

How did they go from writing rules about the fake dating, to Sunghoon meeting her family? She had no idea. It was never meant to go this far — Especially only on day one of the agreement.

After a while, Eunju pushed out of her seat as she soon grew curious as to what Sunghoon and Chaeyoung were doing. She liked that they seemed to be getting on well, and Chaeyoung found comfort in a male figure, but Eunju couldn't help but feel guilt and worry due to the fear that Chaeyoung would grow too attached to Sunghoon.
