Crystal Castles

10 4 4

Her skin unraveled from innocent bones.

Hushed tones of silent agony.

Her scars, her broken armour.

A tossed away token.

Betrayal brutality awoken.

Alone and jaded, her soul faded.

Left with a crystal castle that was tainted and shattered.

Shards that embedded and bled but didn't matter.

Silence shivers with bitter misery.

Trapped in anguish that she can't flee.

The body's plee for serenity.

Tears can't cleanse the fears that permanently seered her heart.

Burning like an inferno.

Everything once familiar, so serene.

She seemed beloved, now deemed disposable.

Betrayal burrows deep and scorches her soul.

Lies that cost tragedy then demise.

Lifeless haunted eyes.

Left an empty vessel, black blood, Sickingly sweet flows.

Emptiness is all she knows.

Her heart idle, survival no longer vital.

She dwells in darkness, devoured by pain.

Demons whisper her name seductively.

They trace each vivid angry scar.

The only ones that know who you really are.

Not seen but never far.

Breathing hushed raspy doubts in your ear.

Lost, your essence the cost.

Growing power from your internal fears.

Broken from the very one you held dear.

Crystal castles shattered.

Broken, blackened, soul battered.
