Krishna's flute fell silent, yielding to the harmonious dance of their intertwined destinies. Padmavati's gaze, as it roamed his countenance, resembled a brook cascading over smooth stones, gracefully mingling with the rustle of leaves and the chorus of birds.

In that suspended moment, they were two souls, once adrift in the expanse of eternity, now bound by an invisible thread pulsating with the rhythm of the universe.

And so, at the heart of the world, where time seemed to pause, Krishna and Padmavati stood, their souls acknowledging a love that transcended lifetimes, a love destined to resonate through the ages.

His countenance mirrored the kohl of her eyes, dark and striking, with an intensity that could bring tears to one's eyes. His large, beetle-like eyes shimmered like moonlight on water, and the smile he wore now left her wondering if he comprehended the effect it would have on the world. He felt strangely familiar to her, a realization that sent a shiver down her spine.

"Do I know you?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Usually," his voice, so melodious, left Padmavati uncertain if her knees were still steady, "when people collide, they utter something akin to, 'I'm sorry' or 'Pardon me,' but I suppose this works too."

This remark jolted Padmavati out of whatever enchantment had ensnared her. She looked down between them. He was holding her, she realized, to her own dismay. One hand supported her upper back, explaining why she wasn't feeling weak, while the other clasped her wrist, her own hands resting on his shoulder. He had saved her from a nasty fall.

In a moment of sudden clarity, she pushed herself away, her cheeks ablaze from their close proximity. She shook her head, resolute in her determination to banish any wandering thoughts.

Padmavati observed him now, truly taking in his entire demeanor. Until then, she had merely focused on his face. He didn't seem much older, perhaps around her own age, give or take a few years. His arms appeared soft, yet there was a visible strength, suggesting a warrior's physique. Did he engage in battle?

"I do fight, if that's what you're wondering," her eyes snapped back to his face as that same bashful smile played on his lips, "but not in the way most people do."

Padmavati fought hard to maintain her gaze on his face, as he smiled at her knowingly, as if aware of her scrutiny. She cleared her throat.
