there was a boy
he was so quiet that no one ever noticed him
for years not a single soul had noticed him
the years quickly turned into centuries
until a girl noticed him
a girl with a smile that warmed the entire universum
a smile that gave hope
a girl who gave life on planet earth
she saw the boy and fell for him just like a fool
she decided to give half of her beauty to the boy
every night she stood behind him to shine her light on him
to show the world his beauty
but
the world hid from him at night
They feared his darkness
and never looked at his brightness
except a few
