Monkey king x Fem! Human reader

New friend/I'm leaving

It's been a few months since y/n became friends with a monkey. Don't get her wrong, but she thinks he's kinda cute in his own way.

And it was great

Y/n still hangs out with the other monkeys, but she still hangs out with him the most. Plus, everyone seems so welcoming.

Everyday the two began to bond with each other.

They played hide and seek, chase, I spy, a lot of games.

And every night, you would both look at the stars, unaware that the monkey was looking at you in awe

But every time you would look back at him, he would quickly look away

Almost like he was blushing

As time went on, the duo began to grow together with each passing day

And y/n and the little guy try to find food in basically "a world of rules and order"

But that didn't seem to stop the human and the monkey

Y/n was growing up so fast.

But she was about 10 years old now and she still lived with the little guy.

Who she later named monkey. Since she couldn't think of anything else

When she found out the monkey could talk now, she helped him say things in full sentences.

And when he became the same age she did, they had more fun, like messing around and playing a game of coconut tag

It was like tag, but you get touched with a coconut and your it

And then he started showing y/n some things he does

He climbed up trees and so did she

But she slipped one time and he caught her by the hand

When he did, he still couldn't take his eyes off of her

And then he started jumping up on branches and saw that his new friend was trying to do the same thing

It's been tough, but y/n figured out her own way of doing things

She's been trying backflips and they were pretty hard from the start

But the girl got the hang of it and monkey was impressed by what she was doing

They both continued to have fun and they grew closer every day.

It was nice to have a friend who was there for her no matter what

And during the night time, they did other things

The best part...

Swimming

Y/n didn't know how to swim at first, but she had experience on the ocean when she was an infant

So how bad could it be?

The girl and the monkey went in and it was great

They were swimming around in circles but she was surprised when she found out he could actually breathe underwater, but she couldn't cause she was a human

After they got out, they dried off and went to bed

Monkey was asleep in y/n's arms and she smiled down at him

He looked so cute when he was sleeping

But y/n couldn't sleep. She was staring out at the ocean until it was then she began to think about the one thing that she was missing the most

Her parents.

By the time when y/n was 13 years old, she thought maybe it was time to get off the island.

She told monkey that she was going to get some fruits for him and the other monkeys and that she would be back soon.

And she kissed her little furry friend on the head and left him at the house

She had made herself a boat, but she looked back because she knew he would want to follow her if she told him the truth

But she didn't want to lose him because she cared about him.

And she took the boat out and she got in and rowed away into the ocean.
