If I had to adorn you with words,

I would paint you in colours.

Rich hot chocolate brown, for the warmth you envelope us in

with your presence

like that cozy winter fire

you gather around with your family

and feel the love envelope you as you hear their laughter.

The lush green of warm spring grass

the sun shining down upon you,

you are the sweet scent of honeysuckle and mayflowers

intangible but the love is felt

like the snow melts to meet the grass

your kindness flows to us

like a gentle breeze caressing,

like the full moon on a silent night,

like that pause in a moment

when you hear laughter ringing to your ears,

like the warmth you feel

when you lay your head of your mother's lap

like the sun that shines, lighting up

even through the night, it sends the moon

to illuminate.
