I woke up the next day and realized that Laurent wasn't by my side. For most women in a relationship, waking up alone is a big no, no. But if you're in a relationship like mine, you'll get used to waking up alone. I stretched my arms out and yawned. Last night was so amazing. I waited for that moment for two months. Everytime we made love, it's always spontaneous. I never know what Laurent is going to do. But whatever he decides to do in that moment, it's going to be real good.

I threw on a brown leopard printed robe and went downstairs. I looked in the kitchen, living and dining room for Laurent. He wasn't there. As I walked down the hallway, I could hear music with a lot of bass in it. The hallway walls had beautiful artwork designed by their fans. The music became louder the closer I got to the studio at the end of the hallway.

At first, I knocked to be polite. Then I realized the door was unlocked. So, I quietly walked in. Larry was on control buttons and Laurent was in the booth. Larry turned to me and smirked. He then pushed a button and said,

"You did good man. Come check out the playback."

Laurent hung up the headphones and stepped out of the booth. Laurent walked up to me and hugged me.

"Good morning, babe. You're up kind of early. You work today?" Laurent asked.
"Sadly, yes. I just wanted to say good morning to you before I head out." I said as I rubbed my temples.
"Ain't that sweet?" Laurent replied and kissed my forehead.

Larry looked up at me and said,

"Speaking of sweet, did you make that banana french toast this morning?"

Laurent released our hug, then playfully pushed Larry and said,

"Don't talk to her like she's the maid. You heard her say she has to work. Cook your own damn breakfast."

I laughed and shook my head. Larry had a smirk on his face. I gave Laurent a kiss on the lips and attempted to leave the studio, but Laurent caught me by the hips. He rested his head on my shoulder and said,

"Before you go, I need to tell you something."
"Okay, make it quick." I replied.
"I need to be in New York City in two days. Larry and I need to finish this track so we can put it out as a single." Laurent explained.
"Why are you just now telling me this? I have to work for the next four days! We won't get to spend much time together."
"Baby girl, I know. And I'm sorry." Laurent said with a sad puppy face.
"Well, at least you told me. I gotta go." I replied with a straight face and left the studio.

I heard Laurent calling my name. But I ignored him. I feel like he could have told me that the last time we skyped. I was irritated. I went upstairs, took a shower and dressed for work. As I walked out the front door, a part of me felt bad for going off on him. I called Laurent on the phone as I drove to work. But he didn't pick up.
